Marking the inaugural model year for the Carrera 3.2, this 1984 Carrera Targa’s factory-specified Black finish has been wrapped in blue vinyl. It was also tastefully optioned with factory front and rear spoilers along with 16” Fuchs wheels. Accompanied by the original owner’s manuals and a host of service documentation, this Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Tennessee with approximately 107k miles showing on the odometer.

Factory-specified in Black, this example is currently wrapped in blue vinyl, contrasted by a brushed silver Targa bar, black top, and black model designations. Factory-optional equipment includes front and rear spoilers, along with 16” Fuchs wheels. Other details include integrated front fog lights and a wraparound rear window. It rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2019. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The interior showcases black upholstery and carpets with red Porsche lettering along with a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel. An aftermarket CD stereo has also been added. While minor wear is noted on the front seats, all gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.

This first-year Carrera equips an air-cooled 3.2L flat-six engine rated at 207 HP and 192 lb.-ft of torque stock. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, this vehicle has received meticulous maintenance, supported by comprehensive service records. However, no major repairs beyond routine servicing and upkeep have been undertaken.

This sale will include a clean title, owner's manuals, and service documentation.

The seller would like you to know: “What does one do when he has two black Porsche cars in the stable and wants a blue one? WRAP one in BLUE. That is exactly what the last owner of this fabulous BLACK/BLACK Carrera Targa did. This example has been through our store a couple of times having been sold to two different Porsche enthusiasts. The car has extensive records, the last owner invested over $15000 in services in the last five thousand miles to ensure the car was well sorted and worked as designed. The previous owner was also very conscientious, supported by service tickets to support his attention to keeping the car at top operating condition. The car currently sits in a well-sorted, up-to-date status, one can be pleased with the mechanical status of the car. To the best of my knowledge, the car has its original black paint in good condition, we have posted pictures of the car before the wrap. If one does not like blue but would like a black/black car, the wrap can be removed. The integrity of the body is high with original fenders and quarter panels. The car shows no signs of rust or accident history. Carfax is clean and follows the history of the car in good order.”

Not at this time.Records show a recent condenser and additional ac work.I asked the previous owner why he did not continue and hook it up,his response was "I just never use it". Considering how lame the ac system is on these cars that would not be too far from possibility.

Lots of service records with several tickets in the $2000 plus charge.Regular services annuals, steering bushings, alternator, brakes, oil cooler lines, turn signal mechanism, wheel bearings,a/c compressor....on and on as a conscientious Porsche owners maintenance file should have.A wheel serviced Boxer engine should not need rebuilds at this mileage as long as it has been maintained, this one has.
