The final evolution of Porsche’s original sports car, the 356C was introduced for the 1964 model year with four-wheel disc brakes, a refined suspension, and reinforced synchronizer rings for its 4-speed manual gearbox. This inaugural-year 356C Coupe has been refinished in Aetna Blue over tan upholstery and underwent a transmission rebuild. Enhancements include a rebuilt 1.6-liter flat-four engine sourced from an SC model, complete with dual Weber carburetors, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and more. Accompanied by service records spanning the last 14 years and stored inside a climate-controlled garage, this exceptionally restored 356 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Colorado.

This Coupe has been tastefully refinished in Aetna Blue (Etna Blue), offered on the 356 for the 1960 and 1961 model years. Equipment includes a decklid with twin engine grilles, a polished driver’s side mirror, gold model lettering, pop-out rear quarter windows, and 15” slotted steel wheels with Porsche-crested hubcaps and new tires. Additionally, the front chrome bumper has been replaced by custom front driving lights. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the driver is situated with tan leatherette upholstery along the seats, upper dashboard, and door panels. A yellow-finished three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation housed within the body-colored dashboard, while grey square-weave carpeting and Coco floor mats line the floors. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.

Beneath the decklid, a rebuilt 1964 356SC 1.6-liter flat-four engine with dual Weber carburetors has been fitted. As much as 95 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission which is said to remain original to the vehicle. Equipment also includes four-wheel independent suspension and disc brakes at each corner. The seller adds that a stainless-steel exhaust system and a new Optima battery have been installed. Service records throughout the past 14 years are said to accompany the sale.

I have owned 7 different 356's over the past 24 years and this is the last one I have left in this condition. I have purchased a new 2024 911 T and have a 1961 barn find that I will restore to driving condition. I do not have time to show this current 64 356 SC and want it to go to someone who will continue to appreciate it like I have the last 14 years, it will continue to be an excellent investment for the next owner.”
