The Citroën Fourgonette AK6 was crafted to capture the timeless allure and character of the original 1950s 2CV Fourgonnette while incorporating modern design elements. This 1979 example, previously employed as a delivery vehicle in Argentina, embarked on a remarkable journey to Montreal before undergoing a meticulous restoration by a local Citroen Specialist. The restoration included a comprehensive rebuild of its 602cc flat-twin engine and a ground-up refurbishment. It is refinished in tan over a reupholstered grey interior and features chrome headlight buckets, flip-up door windows, extended side mirrors, and drum brakes. This French panel van is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Montreal, Canada.
The Fourgonette exhibits the iconic retro styling reminiscent of the original 2CV, characterized by its rounded, boxy silhouette and signature design features. Notable elements include flared front-end panels adorned with the distinctive Citroën chevrons on a prominent grille, complemented by chrome round headlights and corrugated sheet metal panels along the sides. The interior has undergone refurbishment and features reupholstered grey cloth bucket seats, while the cargo area received sanding, priming, and refinishing to match the body color. In the rear section, there is a spare tire secured by a crossbar and inward-facing bench seats and floors lined with black rubber mats. Additional features comprise a two-spoke steering wheel, fresh-air vent, and three-point seatbelts. The seller confirms all gauges and electronics are working properly.
The 602cc air-cooled flat-twin engine is equipped with a single carburetor, reportedly rebuilt by the previous owner. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller reports the starter, transmission, and clutch were serviced in the spring of 2023.

From a practical point of view, it's very frugal. Only 58 MPG. The most economical delivery truck on the market. Same format / capacity as a Ford transit connect Cargo, fraction of operating cost.
10-15-20 years from now : ford will be crushed and transformed into coca cola cans. This 2Cv will be around 🔄 & collecting 👍 👍👍 and smiles 😁😁😁👌
