This 1927 Ford Model T is a custom “T-bucket” hot rod powered by a Buick V6 engine paired with a Chevy Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. The car is described as a drivable project featuring all-steel bodywork, a custom red vinyl interior, Auto-Meter gauges, Cragar wheels, a sold axle rear end, front disc brakes, a dual circuit master cylinder, a dual exhaust, and more. This Model T hot rod is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia.

This open-top Model T's all-steel body is finished in black with a matching radiator grille, chrome headlamps, and tan Cragar wire-spoke wheels. The seller notes all wood panels have been replaced with marine-grade pressure-treated materials and a convertible soft top and frame are included. The exterior is described to be in good overall condition while showing some areas with bubbles and scratches. The doors require adjustment and the tires and recommended for replacement before road use. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features custom dark red vinyl upholstery complemented by a body-color dashboard and a black leather-wrapped steering wheel. Accessories include lap belts, Auto-Meter gauges, a rearview mirror, and a manual windshield wiper. The seller notes the speedometer cable is not installed; however, all other gauges are fully functional.

Power comes from a Buick-sourced V6 engine paired with a Chevy Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The car features an Edelbrock carburetor, a dual exhaust system, a solid axle rear end, rear drum brakes, front disc brakes, and a dual-circuit master brake cylinder. The seller notes that all fluids should be changed before driving.

This Model T is offered with a soft top and frame, extra vinyl upholstery, and a bill of sale.

The seller would like you to know: “This is a running project that needs repairs before regular driving.”

@Roadshow1701. I would suggest the following before your trip.
    1. New tires - have not checked date code but pretty sure they are old.
    2. Front end alignment - seems to have a front tire wobble around 20 mph then goes away.
    3. Check all lights

I drove he Roadster around Marietta GA while taking the photos - ran out great - thermostat cycled properly - oil pressure was great - transmission shifts great

What does it need besides tires and fluid change to be able to drive it a few hundred miles.

@Daryle I know GA does not title older vehicles, do you have any registration paperwork at all? Or will it just be a BOS?

@Aber-XX Car has manual worm gear type steering - not sure what year the engine is but it runs out strong - no smoke on startup or driving. I do not this this will meet emission in some states if required.

Cool car! What kind of steering does it have? Rack and pinion?
    What year is the motor?

  • Daryle (seller) 3 months, 1 weekago

@FMatt356 No - The file had no records on the motor. We will try and get compression test before suction ends.

  • FMatt356 (registered bidder) 3 months, 1 weekago

Is there any history on the motor. Is it rebuilt, have you done a compression test. Looks like it drives well, can you elaborate on shifting, braking and steering. Looks like a cool little project. The “T” body is just so iconic. Thanks
