Equipped with a fuel-injected 2.7-liter engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle, this 1974 Porsche 911 Coupe underwent refurbishment and customizations before the current owner’s purchase in 2018. It was refinished in Guards Red and equipped with custom houndstooth-trimmed Sport Seats, RS-style door panels, a MOMO steering wheel, an RS-style exhaust, and a ducktail rear spoiler. Said to have undergone additional service over the past three years totaling over $11k, this tastefully modified 911 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New Jersey.
This 911 was refinished in Guards Red under prior ownership from its factory brown color. It has been fitted with dual center-mounted tailpipes and an RS-style ducktail rear spoiler. Other equipment includes pop-out rear quarter windows, chrome door handles and headlight rings, polished silver window moldings, and a polished driver’s side mirror. The car rides on factory 15” Fuchs alloy wheels dressed in Yokohama AVID Envigor tires measuring 195/60. The seller adds that the tires are in good condition and the car’s body presents very well apart from some signs of paintwork in the engine compartment and trunk. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black interior is lined with charcoal carpeting and features RS-style door panels with period-correct nylon pull handles, a three-spoke MOMO Prototipo, and a pair of factory Sport Seats that were sourced from a 1987 Carrera and reupholstered with custom houndstooth cloth centers. Other equipment includes black carpet Porsche crest floor mats, a quartz clock, a heater, a locking glovebox, and a rear window defroster. The rear seats have been removed and the radio is deleted with a block off plate. The seller indicates some rust on the under the passenger rear seat as seen in the photo gallery.
Power is sent to the rear wheels from a reportedly numbers-matching fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six engine and a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller indicates service records are available showing $11k invested in maintenance by the current owner over the past three years. The seller adds a small oil leak is coming from the engine compartment and the transmission may grind gears when cold.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, a battery charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “For those in pursuit of an unfiltered and exhilarating driving experience, this car stands as the epitome of automotive thrill. It renders even the esteemed 930 Turbo as a mere luxury cruiser, harkening back to an era when cars provided a tactile connection to the road. From the sensation of the wheel transmitting every contour to the delight of executing seamless double clutch shifts, this vehicle delivers a symphony of driving pleasure. Its rapid-revving nature adds an extra dimension of excitement, making every drive an unforgettable experience. While parting ways with such a dynamic companion is bittersweet, the owner's endeavor to create space for a backyard pool house necessitates the sale of select automobiles.”

@realjamess The car was purchased by its current owner in 2018, he is a Porsche collector and aficionado. This was 1 of a number of cars in his collection and he is currently doing construction on his house and needs the space in the garage. He is believed to be the 4th owner of the car. The car was repainted several years ago and the overall condition is very good besides some small imperfections underneath the hood of the car which can be seen in the gallery below.

Is this a base 911, an”S” or Carrera and your website says it’s an MFI but no mention of that here so was it being a Euro-spec 1974 Carrera left out of the description here or is your website incorrect?
@PorscheClub200 the feeling you get driving this car is incredible. Raw road feel and such a great engine to rev out. Truly a car from a very different era of sports car
