This Porsche 964 Carrera 2 is among the 673 Cabriolets made for the U.S. in 1990. Finished in Baltic Blue Metallic with a Linen leather interior, it offers an optional 4-speed Tiptronic transmission paired with a 3.6-liter flat-six engine. Acquired by the seller in 2019, it has since been treated with an engine rebuild. The car was acquired by the seller in 2019 and has since undergone an engine rebuild. Previously listed on PCARMARKET, this garage-stored Carrera 2 is now being offered for auction once again out of Illinois while showing under 90k miles on the odometer.
This example is finished in Baltic Blue Metallic, a seldom-seen color offered between 1989 and 1990. It comes equipped with a dark blue convertible top and matching tonneau cover, a speed-activated rear spoiler, front fog lights, flag-style mirrors, black brake calipers with white Porsche lettering, and 993-generation 17” Cup 2 wheels dressed in Continental tires. Some clear coat degradation is present on the upper mirror covers, additional images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is trimmed in Linen leather upholstery with matching carpets contrasted with a black dashboard. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, a 12-way power adjustable driver’s seat, an 8-way power adjustable passenger seat, automatic climate control, cruise control, a central locking system, power windows and mirrors, a locking glovebox, and a sound system with an aftermarket Pioneer stereo. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
An air-cooled 3.6-liter M64 flat-six engine delivers up to 247 HP and 228 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with a manual shifting mode. After discovering some oil leaks after purchasing the car in 2019, the seller opted for a complete engine rebuild which is detailed in accompanying service records. The CARFAX report also shows the replacement of a fuel pump and the front struts in 2022.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a spare tire, service records, and a clean title.

@seller
The car looks noticeably lowered in the rear versus the front. Is there a chance lower springs were swapped for the rear? Just curious if you had anything to ad
Would be great to see pics of the (entire) outer bolsters (upper and lower) of driver’s seat. Thanks
