The late model Rolls-Royce 20/25 offers numerous improvements over its predecessors including a newer “cat’s back” carburetor, high lift cams, hydraulic shocks, revised transmission, a larger radiator, and an electric fuel gauge. This 1935 example is said to have undergone an engine rebuild in late 1989 and comes finished in two-tone navy and light blue paint over matching leather upholstery. Serviced at The Shop Clubs upon the seller’s acquisition, this pre-war Rolls-Royce is now being offered for auction out of Washington.

The unique coachwork is said to have been crafted by Windovers Limited in London featuring aluminum over a wood frame.  It comes finished in two-tone navy & light blue paint and includes reverse-hinged doors, chrome brightwork, a Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, and a fender-mounted spare tire. It rides on a set of wire wheels covered with black-finished aluminum discs and Universal Tire Co. tires. The seller notes some minor flaws on the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The divided cabin presents blue leather-upholstered front seats, matching door panels & carpets, and plush rear seat surrounds. Appointments include polished wood veneers, a four-spoke steering wheel, Rolls-Royce–branded gauges, manual winding windows, rear seat footrests/seats & ashtrays, braided rope grab handles, and a rear-mounted Brooks leather trunk. The seller notes some signs of wear and all gauges are said to be working properly.

Power comes from a 3.7-liter inline 6-cylinder engine which was reportedly rebuilt in late 1989 at approximately 58k miles. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transmission. Oil and filter changes are said to have been carried out at approximately 63k, 64k, 66k, and 67k miles. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

This sale will include a clean title and a Rolls-Royce handbook.

The seller would like you to know: “The heart of this Rolls-Royce beats with unmatched refinement. Its engine purrs like a finely tuned sewing machine, delivering a level of smoothness and power that transcends time itself. Under the imposing front hood lies a marvel of engineering craftsmanship. It is the epitome of vintage luxury.”
