Available for auction is this 1951 Pontiac Fleetleader DeLuxe finished in black over a gray cloth interior. The Fleetleader name was used by Pontiac to market the Chieftain full-size car in the Canadian market. In 2019, this 1951 example reportedly underwent a frame-off restoration including new paint, rebuilt engine, and an upgrade to power steering. This Canadian-market Pontiac is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Quebec.

The seller reports that the entire car was refinished during a $20k rotisserie restoration in 2019. The black paint contrasts with the chrome bumpers, side window deflectors, door handles, and window trim. The factory chrome wheels come wrapped in American Classic whitewall tires.

Inside the spacious cabin, gray cloth covers the front and rear bench seats, doors, and the headliner.  A large circular analog clock is the focal point of the dash and amenities included an adjustable seat and hand-crank side windows. The seller confirms that all gauges and accessories are functional.

This 1951 Pontiac Fleetleader is powered by a rebuilt 239ci inline 6-cylinder engine originally rated at 96 HP.  The rear wheels are driven by a 3-speed manual transmission. Per restoration, the starter was rebuilt and the water pump, thermostat, gas tank, fuel line, exhaust, battery, and tires were all replaced. Upgrades include power steering and a smart charger added to the battery. Some documentation is included along with a complete chain of ownership history according to the seller.

This sale will include a clean title.
