Constructed in collaboration with the members of Vintage Motorcars and Vintage Speedsters of Hawaiian Gardens, this 1958 Speedster Replica was finished in Aquamarine Blue over a beige leatherette interior. With assembly led by Greg of Vintage Motorcars and a kit purchased by Vintage Speedsters, this turn-key example was expertly crafted under the previous ownership. It was acquired by the seller approximately two years ago from its original owner and features a 2,110cc dual port flat-four engine, a Retro Sound Stereo system, Koni shocks, “Wide-Five” alloy wheels, a custom upholstered interior, and much more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing just under 6k miles on its digital odometer.

Vintage Motorcars replicas are constructed from hand-laid fiberglass bodywork with a steel subframe, aluminum hood and decklid hitches, and fiberglass bumpers. This example comes finished in two-stage Aquamarine Blue with a tan convertible soft top and boot. The finish is said to remain in excellent overall condition aside from a few chips commensurate with normal road use. Details include gold “Porsche” badging, dual front fog lights, a luggage rack mounted on the engine lid, a single driver-side mirror, authentic German Bosch horns, and a set of silver finished 15” Wide-Five alloy wheels with Porsche crested chrome hubcaps and Blacklion Cilerro tires from 2016.

The cabin is custom upholstered in beige leatherette and features a pair of low-back bucket seats. The upper dashboard is covered in matching beige leatherette vinyl and the floor and lined with beige carpeting. Amenities include a Banjo steering wheel with Porsche horn button, a suite of VDO instrumentation including a digital odometer, Coco floor mats, lap belts, a Halgaurd fire extinguisher mounted beneath the dashboard, and a Retro Sound Stereo system.

Power comes from an air-cooled 2,110cc dual port flat-four engine driving the rear wheels by way of a ring & pinion 4-speed manual transmission. Koni Classic shocks give this speedster a comfortable and sporty ride, while four-wheel disc brakes provide stopping power.

This sale will include a clean title.

Not that it matters but the luggage rack is a Rueter (spelling) rack. I have the same rack in chrome on my 356 cab.

This car was originally bought as a kit and it was assembled by the former owner and Kirk of Vintage Speedsters of Hawaiian Gardens, Also Greg of Vintage Motorcars did the motor installation and setup. The former owner spared no expense on this build. This car is as good as they come in quality and performance. Thanks for watching this auction..
