During the 1950s and 1960s, Porsche produced a range of diesel tractors, leveraging their reputation for dependable, high-quality engineering. The Porsche-Diesel Super 308, a favorite among vintage tractor enthusiasts, was introduced in 1957 and remained in production until 1963. This 1960 308 Super is powered by an air-cooled, three-cylinder diesel engine with Bosch mechanical fuel injection and reportedly underwent a comprehensive restoration approximately two years ago. It is now available for auction by its seller out of Finland accompanied by registration documentation.

As part of the restoration, this Super 308 was refinished in its traditional red and yellow paint scheme. Equipment includes a rear-hinged bonnet, Porsche-Diesel badging, headlights and taillights, rear marker lights, rear half fenders, low-exit exhaust, and six-lug wheels. It rides on a set of six-lug steel wheels mounted with agricultural tires reported to be in new condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Power comes from an air-cooled three-cylinder 2,467cc diesel engine, which produced up to 38 HP when new. The rear wheels are driven by way of a manual gearbox with five forward gears and one reverse. Porsche's tractors featured a unique hydraulic coupling between engine and gearbox providing smooth clutch-less gear changes while reducing wear on the transmission components. The seller states a complete restoration was performed approximately two years ago, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

The seller would like you to know: “Beautiful looking one, especially with those deeper looking wheels. The original Finnish registration papers are included. This vehicle has been in my employer’s companion's family for generations and is currently unregistered. The registration documents date back to the tractor's early years, with the first tax mark and inspection recorded on April 14, 1961. It has spent nearly its entire life on a farm near Paattinen, Turku. The first owner was from Pöytyä, near Turku, and the original license plate was 242-TX.”
