Introduced in 1954, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint was the first variant of the Alfa Giulietta. Designed by the famed Italian design house, Bertone, this 1961 Sprint 2+2 coupe comes finished in red over a black interior and is said to benefit from an extensive mechanical restoration. Acquired from the collection at Alfa Romeo of Tacoma, Washington, this reportedly numbers-matching example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California while showing approximately 65k miles on the odometer.
This Sprint is said to have been refinished in its current shade of red and shows some areas of patina. Equipment includes squared front mesh grilles joined by a center Alfa shield, chrome trim, rounded headlamps, and Bertone fender badging. The 15” steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and come dressed in Nexen tires. The seller notes a minor dent on the trunk, additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features black vinyl upholstery which covers the seats, door panels, and upper dashboard. The red-finished dashboard houses a locking glovebox, lighting and ventilation switches, and radio controls. Equipment also includes a two-spoke red leather-wrapped steering wheel, Alfa-branded pedals, Bertone-branded door sills, and new factory-correct black carpets. The seller reports the seats to have been borrowed from a newer model. The gauges and windows are said to be working properly, although the radio operation has not been confirmed. Signs of wear are shown.
Beneath the bonnet lies a 1.3-liter inline four-cylinder engine, sending approximately 90 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller reports the single Solex carburetor has been rebuilt, the transmission was taken out and resealed, the brake lines were replaced, and the fuel tank was cleaned and fitted with new hoses. Additionally, a new exhaust system and water pump were fitted.

I've had 8 or 9 of these 750, 101, 105 coupes and spiders, some were 'F' veloces.
These cars are a joy to own and even more joyful to DRIVE!
For their era, they are nimble, peppy and tight little cars.
Rust free examples are RARE! And will save thousands in restoration costs.
Bwta, and i wish my shop, garages, carports and yard had room for ONE more.

@justdiggin hello thank you for your interest in the Sprint. The car has been looked at throughout and no rust was noticed. This car was in indoor since the 1970's I believe.
