Serving as Chrysler’s flagship upscale luxury model for several decades, the New Yorker was produced from 1940 until 1996 making it the longest-running nameplate of any American car in history. This 1964 example is a Town & Country wagon version finished in Persian White and Red over a Red vinyl interior. The original order sheet indicates the car was factory-equipped with power-assisted brakes and steering, electric windows, air conditioning, an adjustable steering column, headrests, an electric clock, undercoating, an adjustable Deluxe steering wheel, and more. Power comes from a 6.8-liter Firepower V8 paired with a TorqueFlite automatic transmission. It was acquired by the current owner in 2022 and upgraded with electronic fuel injection and an electric fuel pump along with an overhaul of the A/C system. This classic luxury station wagon is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

This Chrysler New Yorker is finished in Persian White (WW1) with contrasting red accents along the roofline. Equipment includes optional sill and hood moldings, tinted glass, wheel covers, chrome bumpers, polished dual exhaust outlets, a driver’s side mirror, a fender-mounted antenna, and an optional luggage rack with assist handles. Decorative surfboards are mounted to the roof and the car rides on period-correct whitewall tires.  Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features a folding third-row seat and is trimmed in Red vinyl with matching carpets. The original order sheet includes option codes for power windows, a heater & air conditioning, Air Foam seats, front headrests, an adjustable Deluxe steering wheel, a safety-padded instrument panel, an electric clock, dual-jet windshield washers, variable speed windshield wipers, undercoating, and a Golden Tone AM radio. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional and states that the mileage shown on the odometer is accurate.

This Chrysler is equipped with a 6.8-liter Wedge V8 that was originally rated at 340 HP and 470 lb.-ft of torque with a stock four-barrel carburetor. This example has been fitted with an upgraded electronic fuel injection system and an electric fuel pump for increased performance and reliability. The rear wheels are driven through a 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The car was also factory-equipped with power-assisted steering and brakes. The seller indicates the A/C system has been serviced and there are no outstanding maintenance items at this time.

This sale will include a toolkit, an original order sheet, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Thanks for visiting this 1964 time capsule, Ready to tackle any mission: Bringing the Army of kids to their soccer games and to Dairy Queen after the win, go to the beach, or hunt ghosts. Whatever the mission, you will get to your destination with the utmost class.”

@dgpnaples Hello there! Good Eyes! Each Sale brings a different cool 😎 scenario. Buyers on a Budget ( DIY ) get here, drive down the Border ( 45 minutes to get to NewYork ( Champlain )) to say Hello to the Federal Agent. They Fill up both forms there ( EPA-3520 & HS-07 ); pay Uncle Sam ( 2.5% import tax ) and make the RoadTrip of their life back home.

Some others: give the mandate to Custom Broker i refer to do the paperwork on their behalf for very small finance, broker finds the best transport quote and Boom, done. Easy Peasy.

There is no Title in Canada. Just a Certificate of Ownership. California front licence plate doesn’t belong to the car to the Best of my knowledge. Most probably bought at a flea Market somewhere. More specific info: Click Contact Seller: ill give You custom broker i usually use and specific answers with your specifics will be provided. With Bonhomie.

I see that you have sold over 60 cars in the last 2 years. What is the protocol for importing a car from Canada? Is the title and license still listed as a California car? Please advise, thank you.

  • AlexBert (seller) 2 months, 1 weekago

AlexBert, those images are not clear enough to see the writing. Tread depth and tire beauty are not proper measures of tire safety. Do you know the age of the tires? Maybe you have a friend who can point out the 4 digit tire date codes. Thank you

  • AlexBert (seller) 2 months, 2 weeksago

@Peabo Please Zoom Pictures 71 to 80 from the Gallery down below and 🔎 to decipher Date code. Maybe someone in Audience can retrieve & scoop the ℹ️. Plenty of life left. Tip Top condition. No Problem if You reside Constitution State. Same Answer applies if You reside SanDiego. No kidding. GLWTA

  • Peabo (registered bidder) 2 months, 2 weeksago

Please tell us the date codes on the tires. Is this in condition to drive to Connecticut?
