Before Ferrucio Lamborghini founded his exotic sports car manufacturer Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. in 1963, the Lamborghini Trattori company had been producing tractors known for their bold styling and performance since 1948. The 1R tractor was one of the company’s more popular models and features a 1.5-liter twin-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine capable of producing 26 HP. This example has reportedly been cared for by two owners since new and is 1 of 343 units produced in 1965. Having undergone a frame-off restoration, this 1965 Lamborghini 1R Tractor is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Germany.
As part of a frame-off restoration, this 1R tractor was stripped completely and professionally painted in its original color combination consisting of a blue-painted frame contrasted by an orange bonnet, seat, and wheels. Details include Lamborghini 1R lettering, dual headlights and taillights, a Lamborghini-embossed driver’s seat, a black three-spoke steering wheel, an analog Smiths tachometer, and an oil pressure gauge. Some light scratches are noted on the inner part of the bonnet and are only visible when the bonnet is opened. The seller notes that the rear wings and the rear lights are new and the cable of the odometer is missing. The cooling system parts have been painted in galvanic silver and this tractor rides on the original steel Lamborghini rims which have been refurbished and come wrapped in new tires sized 4"x 15" in the front and 9.50"x 24" in the rear.
Power comes from an air-cooled 1.5-liter twin-cylinder diesel engine sending up to 26 HP to the rear wheels through a dual-range 3-speed manual gearbox. Per the restoration, the braking system including the wheel cylinder, main braking cylinder, drums, and shoes, was overhauled. The seller indicates that an oil service has been performed and all fluids changed. This engine and chassis numbers-matching tractor also features a new battery, a new starter motor, and glass-blasting of the attachment engine parts.
This tractor is offered with a bill of sale.
The seller would like you to know: “The tractor has matching numbers as you can see from the chassis number and engine number. We tried to make this tractor as typical and original as possible and I think we did quite a good job! Look at the photos to see our great achievements and results for yourself. Obviously, you cannot expect a new tractor, but a tractor is in good condition and in working order. As the tractor is nearly 60 years old, we are selling it as a restoration object without any warranty given. Reach out to me, before you bid and I am going to answer your questions and provide you with all the information I can give you. Shipping: In the past, we managed to organize shipping from Bremerhaven to Jacksonville and Baltimore. This is included when the reserve is met. It means the transport to the port, all the customs declaration, and the shipping to Jacksonville or Baltimore. For any fees regarding the import into the USA, like duty, VAT, or other fees - that will be the buyer's responsibility.”

you have a Panther J72? is it for sale?
well I am in Munich area and its quite some way to you. let me ask a few questions first. did you open the engine at all? does the tractor have any of the typical blow by issues? when was the restoration performed?
@DLC the broken odometer cable is still available
@pantherJ72, cool nickname as Ihave such a car :) We have done the restauration by ourselves and we have done photografs during the restauration as well. You are invited to come and view the tractor. it is parking in our garage.
i am a dealer in Jacksonville FL and would have interest. can you tell me who performed the restoration? I am asking because there is one dealer in northern Italy that has very bad quality and I want to make sure it's not from him.
