Formed in 2001, Backdraft Racing has made a name for itself as one of the foremost Shelby Cobra replica builders, offering hand-built kit cars with extensive options for personalization. This example (#2396) is an RT4B that is finished in Eminent White with Magnetic Gray stripes over a Black leather interior with white diagonal contrast stitching and was completed on April 29, 2022. It features a Prestige 427 C engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, a carbon fiber dashboard, Sabelt cam-lock safety harnesses, and more. This RT4B is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Arizona showing less than 500 miles on the odometer.
Finished in Eminent White with Magnetic Gray body and side stripes, this RT4B features a black vinyl tonneau cover, Raydot mirrors, black ceramic coated side pipes, and rides on black 18” alloy knock-off wheels wrapped in Goodyear tires with Tredwear lettering that show date codes from 2021 and 2022. Additional equipment includes a vented hood, vented fenders with Ford badging, a black driver’s side roll bar, and bumper overriders. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in black leather with white diagonal contrasting stitching covering the white-accented bucket seats, the transmission tunnel, and door panels. The carbon fiber dashboard houses Classic Instruments Auto X gauges, a push-button starter, and additional switchgear. Other details include a passenger seat slider, red Sabelt cam-lock safety harnesses, a black suede Sabelt steering wheel with contrasting white stitching, and a white shift knob.
Powered by a Prestige 427ci “C” Ford V8, this TR4B sends up to 500 HP and 510 lb.-ft. of torque to its rear wheels by way of a Tremec 5-speed TKX manual transmission.
