Available for auction is this 2004 Superformance 1965 Shelby MkIII Cobra replica finished in Guards Blue with Wimbledon White racing stripes over a black vinyl interior. Officially licensed by Shelby and General Motors, Superformance has become one of the most reputable builders of high-quality tribute and continuation cars of the 1960s. This example was purchased new directly from Superformance and equipped with a 434ci Roush small-block V8 mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. Showing just over 8k miles on the odometer, this Superformance Cobra is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Florida.
The hand-laminated fiberglass body of this Superformance Cobra is finished in Guards Blue with Wimbleton White racing stripes. Other details include a single driver-side mirror, a hood scoop, fender vents, dual side-exit exhaust pipes, yellow striping on the driver’s front fender, and a chrome driver’s side roll hoop. In addition, a black tonneau cover with a removable black soft top and side curtains are provided for use in the rain. Black Wilwood brake calipers sit behind 15” Halibrand-style wheels with knock-off spinners and are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires from 2021. The seller reports some minor rock chips on the front valance area, and notes paint protection film has been applied to the fender flares.
The cabin is fitted with low-back bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting protected by Cobra-logo floormats. Equipment includes a wood-rimmed AC steering wheel, AC-branded pedals, RJS Racing Equipment harnesses, chrome-ringed instrumentation, and a fire extinguisher mounted to the bulkhead between the driver and passenger seats.
This Superperformance Cobra is powered by a 434ci small-block V8 designed and built by Roush Performance, featuring forged pistons and connecting rods, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake manifold and water pump, an MSD distributor, and braided stainless steel fuel lines with anodized AN fittings. Dyno-tested results show this motor to produce up to 557 HP at 4900 RPM, sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission with a McLeod flywheel and a blow proof bell housing. The seller reports routine oil and filter changes were performed annually or every 1k miles.

Should the car sell, I will have a complete service done prior to delivery, at my expense. The brakes and clutch will be serviced, valves adjusted, oil and filter changed and a complete chassis lubrication done.
The yellow stripes were painted at the factory at the time of production. They are 'cleared in' and certainly not decals.

Actually the corrected HP is just shy of 600....Car has been mine since new, only driven by me and wet once that I can remember. It has sent its life as a Sunday driver in an air conditioned garage on a lift. The top has never been unpacked, never mind put on the car. A new Superformance roller is roughly 66K + tax. the motor in this car would cost roughly 40K to duplicate and this car, because of the way it is titled and registered is exempt from EPA requirements.
I have been around this Superformance Cobra and the owner for several years.
This excellent example is even better in person. The pictures and description don't do the car and subsequent performance justice. Street cred galore. This is truly a "mine IS bigger than yours" deal. Bid to win and you will not be disappointed....This will enhance your entire life experience every time you go for a spin....Wish I had the budget to indulge myself....
