Finished in British Racing Green with a black leather interior, this 1966 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII was reportedly owned by the seller's family before his acquisition in 1998. It was modified for hillclimb and rally racing with the addition of a TiAL turbocharger, a full roll cage, a Tremec T-5 manual transmission, a Quaife limited-slip differential, 17” Daytona wire wheels, fender flares, driving lights, and more. Benefitting from an engine rebuild within the last 1k miles, this Austin-Healey was previously listed on PCARMARKET and is being auctioned once again by its longtime owner out of Texas.

The exterior has been refinished in British Racing Green with yellow racing stripes and vinyl decals. Details include a Works rally trunk lid, flared fenders, front driving lights, a mesh grille, and a removable hardtop with two Gurney bubbles for additional helmet clearance. Some patina and minor touch-ups are noted, reflecting its years of competition. Additional photos are available in the gallery.

The interior features black leather upholstery on the sport seats, center console, and door panels. In front of the 3-spoke wood-rimmed steering wheel is a polished wood dashboard housing analog instruments and various gauges. Other features include an aluminum shifter with a leather boot, racing harnesses, and a black roll cage. The seller notes that the odometer has been replaced.

Under the hood is a fuel-injected 6-cylinder engine that sends power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Tremec T-5 manual gearbox, an aluminum driveshaft, and a Quaife limited-slip differential. Mechanical upgrades include an aluminum radiator, block, head, and connecting rods, a TiAL turbocharger, an adjustable camshaft, forged pistons, a roller rocker valve train, Ferrea racing valves, Smith Brothers pushrods, aluminum engine plates, an electric water pump, a copper head gasket with steel O-rings, a high-volume electric fan, a lightened flywheel, and carbon/carbon 7.25" clutch. The engine was fully rebuilt and refurbished in early 2023 with less than 1k miles driven since.

This sale includes a clean title.

The seller would like you to know:  "The car was at auction last year and did not achieve reserve. I have since moved to the Gulf Coast, where the car cannot exhibit its potential (flat straight roads).  It needs a new home where it can be enjoyed and shepherded."

Horsepower is estimated to be around 400 at flywheel. The car has not been on a dyno in many years. Last time on dyno was pre-turbocharged. It was about 250 then. It is running 10 pounds of boost (166 kpa), capacitive discharge ignition and e85, which together should add 150 hp at a minimum
