We are pleased to present this 1966 Porsche 912 racecar finished in Yellow over a custom lightweight interior.  This Porsche has undergone an extensive racing conversion which included numerous performance modifications as well as a custom-built 1600cc engine. Said to have had a recent engine rebuild, this well-executed racecar is ideal for racers and enthusiasts alike.  It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Houston with a Texas title and has not been raced since 2001.

This 912 is custom finished in Yellow with racing decals throughout the exterior surface.  The seller states that the paint is in good overall shape with typical track-going wear (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.) The hood, front fenders, front lips and rear engine lid have been replaced with lightweight fiberglass components and all windows have been exchanged with Lexan in an effort to reduce weight.  The seller notes that steel fenders will be included with the sale.  This racecar rides on OEM black-finished cookie cutter wheels that wear Goodyear Eagle tires. The seller notes that two additional sets of wheels will also be included with the sale.

Inside, you will find a purpose-built light weight custom interior that features a Kirkey racing seat with a Team Tech harness finished in blue.  This interior highlights an SFI-approved roll cage with a Nascar-style driver's door bar and has been integrated into the suspension pickup points.  Other features include a Dino steering wheel, dash gauges, a brand new fuel cell system.

Power comes from a custom built 1600cc engine that sends power to the rear wheels via a 901 transmission. This engine is said to have had a recent rebuild and is currently ready to be driven.  Performance features include:

Keeping this 912 nimble on the track are a few suspension upgrades including an RSR-style rear coil-over suspension with Koni double adjustable shocks/bearings along with Koni single adjustable front struts with adjustable spherical bearing camber plates. This 912 also has greaseable bronze bushings on the a-arms. Braking has been upgraded to ventilated discs all around with a Tilton brake Proportioning valve.
