Available for auction is this 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor replica finished in grey over a black leather interior. Known for its role in the cult classic film "Gone In 60 Seconds, "Eleanor" was the film’s feature car depicted as a Shelby GT500 with a custom body kit. This 1967 Fastback was rebuilt approximately three ago in the style of the “Eleanor” movie car including a rebuilt 289ci V8 engine, Halibrand-style wheels, side-exit exhaust, a raised hood scoop, a faux nitrous tank, replica switch gear, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Virginia.

The original “Eleanor” was designed by hot rod illustrator Steve Stanford and brought to life by Chip Foose. This example has been refinished in grey with black over the top and side stripes. Details include a custom front fascia with central fog lamps, cowl hood, quarter panel and sail panel scoops, custom grilles, a rear lip spoiler, GT500-style tail lamps, and side skirts with integrated exhaust outlets. A collection of images can be found in the gallery. It rides on a set of 18” Halibrand-style wheels with faux knock-off spinners and General Exclaim UHP tires.

The cabin features front bucket seats upholstered in black leather with matching door panels, carpets, and dashboard. Details include a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, aluminum dashboard trim, roll-up windows, a fire extinguisher, and a non-functional nitrous bottle mounted in the rear along with a toggle switch and button on the shift knob true to the movie car. An upgraded sound system has been installed including a Panasonic CD player. The seller reports that all gauges, electronics, and accessories remain functional.

The 289ci V8 engine is said to produce up to 350HP and sends power to the rear wheels by way of a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine and transmission were reportedly rebuilt within the last three years and the seller states there are no outstanding service items at this time.

This sale will include a clean title.

  • jswenk (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@ldesautel well I’m not sure, I’m not an expert but as far as the car, it looks like the build is pretty fresh, underneath looks brand new. It does run and drive like it’s brand new ,starts right up every time. Drives and handles really nice. It can be a daily driver, and it sounds absolutely amazing and shifts Great as well.

  • ldesautel (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

Besides being not one of the 11 produced what would you say are the biggest differences between this and the original?
    Thanks

  • prmnorton1 (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@ldesautel yeah, I was planning on doing that later today

  • ldesautel (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

Do you have a driving Video to hear sounds and gears?
    Thnx

@prmnorton1 - As soon as you have posted the Underside Photos and we have viewed them, we will start our bidding.

  • prmnorton1 (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@ParamountAutomotive yeah I’ll go ahead and do that, the car does not need anything. It’s pretty much brand new underneath as well. I have to post a driving video as well. Thanks

  • ParamountAutomotive (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@prmnorton1 @prmnorton1- Would you be able to post underside pictures of the Front and rear suspension so that we may see if it needs attention as well?

  • prmnorton1 (seller) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@ParamountAutomotive I don’t have too much history on it. I purchased a vehicle from the second owner who did everything, he said it cost him a lot, everything has pretty much been redone it was a original fastback frame, and they put the motor in and the drivetrain as far as I know, car really does run and drive and shifts like it’s brand new. It sounds absolutely amazing.

  • ParamountAutomotive (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

@seller- Who did the conversion? Was it originally a fastback? Does it retain the original Drivetrain from the factory?

  • Metaphysician (registered bidder) 1 year, 6 monthsago

Seller may want to post receipts/details on who did the "E" conversion. Hope Ms. Halicki doesn't come after this listing...
