Up for auction is this 1967 Volkswagen German 11-Window Westfalia Camper Bus that has been custom painted in a two-tone purple and ivory finish over a black vinyl interior.  This iconic VW Bus underwent a full restoration in 1996 that included new interior and exterior paint, a fresh VW Beetle-sourced engine and woodgrain paneling refurbishing.  Among the most distinguishing features of this Baltimore Ravens themed restoration is the autograph by Joe Flacco on the front of the bus after his Ravens Superbowl XLVII victory in 2013.  Additionally, legendary Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas autographed the front of the bus in 2002.  The bus traveled to Tampa for the Ravens Superbowl victory in 2000, owned by an avid Ravens fan and body shop owner in Baltimore since 1996.  With only approximately 4k-miles since the complete restoration, this camper is up to date on maintenance and is now being offered by the seller out of Maryland.

The bus was first sandblasted inside and out down to bare metal in 1996 and professionally refinished in purple and ivory.  The chrome and brightwork were also refinished and still show very well according to the seller.  Only a few flaws are present including a missing windshield wiper and a missing front antenna.  While the Ravens logo on the side and the two Superbowl logos on the pillar are painted, all other logos are removable. This bus rides on Ivory steel with chrome center cap wheels which come wrapped in Yokohama All season tires from 2014.

Inside this Westfalia, you will find a refinished black vinyl with gold piping front bench seat and rear dinette booth that are stated to be in great condition.  The interior was also restored down to the bare metal and painted ivory to match the exterior.  Additionally, the woodgrain paneling was refurbished as well.

Power comes from a Volkswagen beetle engine that was sourced from VW beetle production in Mexico in 1996 during the restoration.  The bus is driven by way of a 4-speed manual transmission with approximately 4K miles showing on the odometer.  This camper bus benefits from a rebuilt carburetor as well as a braking and suspension service in summer of 2020.  Stated to be in running order, this camper is awaiting its next adventure.

Included in the sale of this VW is a key as well as the autographs by Joe Flacco and Johnny Unitas on the front of the bus.  If you have been in search of painstakingly restored classic VW bus and/or you are a diehard Ravens fan, look no further than this camper.

@Craftsmen shipping to California is no problem, open carrier or enclosed options. Budget $1000 open or $2000 enclosed, and this is based on 1-2 week window to find a carrier for a reasonable price

@JDMX274 you are a dealer so you can arrange shipping to Southern California? Do you have an estimated shipping cost and timeline?

Have to be a "Raven lunatic" to want a bus like this. Seriously..very nice bus but , to me, the Raven stuff, takes away from one I'd want to own and it would be a great shame to eliminate it. Bet it selss in Baltimore.

@Greenehaus great question, as all of the graphics are removable vinyl except for the main Ravens logo on the drivers side and the 2 Super Bowl logos on the C pillars. Those are painted.

  • Greenehaus (registered bidder) 3 yearsago

@JDMX274 are the graphics painted on or are they a removable vinyl decal?
