The Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is a highly coveted American muscle car, celebrated for its bold styling, robust performance, and significant place in muscle car history. Powered by a 383ci V8 engine equipped with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, this 1968 example is finished in Le Mans Blue with white stripes over a Pearl Parchment Houndstooth interior. It features a white vinyl roof, a Positraction differential, along with performance enhancements such as an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, a custom exhaust system with S&S ceramic-coated full-length headers, a 2.5”mandrel-bent ceramic-coated exhaust, Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers, disc brakes, and more. This Camaro coupe is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

This example is finished in Le Mans Blue with contrasting white stripes, complemented by a white vinyl roof and a cowl hood. It features concealed headlights, SS badging, dual side mirrors, a rear deck spoiler, and a chrome rear bumper. It rides on chrome-finished 19” and 20” custom Intro wheels wrapped in Toyo Extensa HP II tires. The seller notes minor damage to the right front fender and a previous ding repair on the passenger door. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The interior features front bucket seats and a fold-down rear bench upholstered in Pearl Parchment vinyl with a black-and-white houndstooth pattern, accented by woodgrain trim on the center console. It includes a fire extinguisher mounted on the front passenger side, lap belts for four passengers, black carpets protected by rubber mats, and an AM/FM radio. The air conditioning, equipped with a new billet compressor and condenser, has been retrofitted to work with factory controls. The seller notes minor wear to the interior materials but confirms that all gauges and electronics are functioning properly with no warning lights illuminated.

Power comes from a 383ci V8 engine with a 10:1 compression ratio and is equipped with aluminum heads, a competition solid roller cam, roller rockers, an Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, and a Holley carburetor. Performance is further enhanced by a custom exhaust system with S&S ceramic-coated full-length headers, a 2.5” mandrel-bent ceramic-coated exhaust, and Magnaflow stainless steel mufflers, producing an estimated 486 HP and 495 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a TremecTKO 600 5-speed manual transmission. Cooling is managed by an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, while a 12-bolt Eaton Positraction rear differential with 3.90:1 gears provides additional performance. The Hotchkis suspension system, including tubular lower control arms and Koni shock absorbers at both ends, enhances handling and ride quality.

This sale will include the owner’s manuals, a spare tire, an original carburetor, spare parts, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This is really what American Muscle cars are meant to be. The exterior is Lemans Blue with a white stripe. The interior is pearl parchment houndstooth with bucket front seats and a center console.”

    Hello, @59caddyman,
I don't have the front bumper and brackets.
The AC does work well and blows cold. It was recently serviced along with the other service items.
The under side is good and does not have any issues. I will try to have some photos/videos uploaded tomorrow during the day.
Also, there is no rust on the car. The floor and trunk floor looks excellent. I was informed that the restoration was done back in 2017. Thank you.

@aircooled993 Hello, I have a few questions on your Camaro. Do you have the front bumper and brackets? Does the A/C work and blow cold? How is the under side? Does it have original floor pans or any rust repairs? Do you know when the restoration was done? Thanks Bobby
