Originally produced as a C-code 289 coupe, this 1968 Ford Mustang has been transformed with a fastback conversion and “Eleanor” bodywork, bearing Eleanor World Registry serial number 367. Known as “Helleanor,” it comes finished in Pepper Grey Metallic and features a supercharged 6.2L Hellcat V8 paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Performance upgrades include coilover suspension, 19″ American Racing wheels, Wilwood brakes, and much more. The custom interior equips a roll hoop, bucket seats, a bespoke center console, a modern sound system, and updated instrumentation. This example was acquired by the current owner in 2019 and is now being offered for auction on dealer consignment out of British Columbia.
The exterior was rebuilt with a fastback configuration and Eleanor-style bodywork finished in Pepper Grey Metallic complemented by GT500-logo side stripes and badges. Details include a domed hood secured with pins, bullet-style mirrors, rear-quarter intakes, integrated side exhaust outlets, and black Wilwood-lettered brake calipers behind 19″ American Racing wheels. The seller notes cracks near the exhaust outlets and headlight valance. A collection of images is provided in the gallery.
Inside, black leather upholstery covers the front bucket seats, rear bench, dashboard, door panels, and custom center console. Accessories include a roll hoop, a wood-rimmed steering wheel on a tilt column, a B&M shifter, modernized instrumentation, a Pioneer touchscreen, Focal speakers, and a Holley Terminator X control screen installed above the head unit.
Beneath the hood, a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 engine was installed around 2020. The engine is managed by a Holley Terminator control system and features a Be Cool radiator and a conical air intake filter. The rear wheels are driven through a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission. A custom "Helleanor" badge is affixed to the intake manifold, and the trunk houses a fuel cell and an Optima battery. Stopping power comes from Wilwood disc brakes with a bias-adjustment knob located in the center stack.
This custom Mustang is offered with an Alberta registration.

@Miller711 There is a very slow leak that appears to be from the drain plug itself. Maybe 1-2 drops per month. Could be fixed during the next oil change with a new crush washer on the plug.

@WRMC Thank you. any fluid leaks?
We've uploaded some receipts for parts used during the build process. Apparently it can take a few minutes for them to show in the gallery.
The engine was from a donor car with approximately 3,000 kilometers when it was pulled. The transmission was brand new when installed. The engine has approximately 4,000 kilometers on it now, which equates to about 2,500 miles.
To say it runs strong is an understatement. It's putting out a little over 800hp.
Is there a build sheet or receipts available for the build?
Was a new crate motor and transmission used or was it a donor engine and transmission?

@993David Although it does have AC I cannot confirm the type. The controls are pictured in the gallery. Ambient temperature is around freezing right now so it's tough to say how effective it is.

@rbrunson This seam needs the leather rolled over the yellow foam that's exposed and to be reconnected to the door seam. It's a minor upholstery issue, unfortunately our trusted shops are backed up for months up here.
@Miller711 I believe what you're seeing is PPF that needs to be redone. If you could please point out the photo numbers I can respond more accurately to describe what you're seeing.
@Treksman2 6 foot 2 and 210lbs. There is no riding of the clutch...the car is breaking traction. It's 800hp+ on a cold day...it will spin through third gear on a hot day let alone winter weather. Driving position is find and comfortable especially when not wearing a heavy jacket.
@WestCoastDM Yes absolutely. We are located in Langley, BC. You can look us up, Winding Road Motorcars. Please call to make an appointment as we are by appointment only and not open to the public.
@Miller711 The car is running an aftermarket engine management system that takes a second to get running smooth. Start up smoke is from fuel being dumped in to get going. It's not oil smoke. The car runs strong and pulls hard once it's moving.
How tall is your driver? It appeared that he had the seat forward, not a good fit. Also he appears to be riding the clutch alot, worrisome if there seems to be any clutch grabbing. What type of transmission is it? Getrag?
Hi Seller I am local possible to see the car in person ?
In the start up video it appears the engine smoked. Was this a new crate motor or a transplant. Has anyone investigated the start smoke?
Can you please describe the damaged areas? It appears there is fiberglass damage under the hood and where the Eleanor body kit connects. It is hard to tell if there are issues with the fastback conversion and rear windows and trunk from the picture. Thank you

In picture 111 it appears that the vertical interior panel at the door frame is coming apart as there is a brown/yellow seam where the panel has separated from the door frame. Can you provide more details on this issue and what would be needed to fix it?
@simonfry1 Hi Simon,
We can arrange door to door shipping to anywhere in the US, including the export process on your behalf. The car will show up with all of the documentation you will need to head to your DMV and get a state title issued. I can't guarantee California regulations will be met with this car however. We're not sure what the process is for SMOG on an engine swapped car, or if there's an exemption for something of this age.

Can your dealer help with the import process to the US? I'm located in California and haven't brought a car in from Canada before.
