Now available for auction is this 1969 Porsche 911E finished in Polo Red over a black interior.  Reported to have been purchased by the seller from their brother-in-law and original owner, this 1969 example has been treated to an extensive amount of restoration including a full refresh of the suspension and braking systems as well as a rebuilt engine and transmission by Storz Garage in Colorado during 2020.  This 911E is accompanied by a small library of technical books, a commemorative coin collection, Porsche branded clothing, original documentation, spare parts, a Kardex, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and service records dating back to 1974.  This thoroughly sorted long-hood 911 is now being offered by its longtime second owner Denver, Colorado with less than 1k miles driven on the rebuilt engine.

The Polo Red paint is said to be in good condition with only a few minor belmishes, and the car is said to have been partially refinsihed during the course of its life (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery). Refurbishment carried out under the current ownership includes professional reapir of the passenger side floorpan, re-plating of the brake calipers, and the re-anodizing and painting of the Fuchs wheels to OEM specs by specialist Greg Dunn.  Brand new Michelin tires were recently installed, and a replica Leitz roof rack will also be included in the sale along with leather straps.

The black interior has been kept in great shape with the rebuilt driver’s seat by Auto Weave, restoration of the front trunk by the owner, new leather luggage straps, and new OEM carpets and Coco floormats.  A correct-type Blaupunkt New Yorker radio has been installed along with an aftermarket wood-rimmed MOMO steering wheel, and the seller confirms all gauges and accessories to be fully functional. The 5-digit odometer currently shows approximately 27k miles, although the total mileage on the vehicle has been estimated at approximately 385k through historical records. An additional leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel will also accompoany the sale along wiuth the original OEM wheel.

This 911 is said to carry its original 2.0 L flat-six engine which is paired with a number’s matching 5-speed manual gearbox.  The engine and transmission are said to have been completely rebuilt in 2020 by Storz Garage less than 1k miles ago, and the following items are also said to have been addressed under the current ownership with all parts sourced from reputable suppliers:
