Completed at the factory in Zuffenhausen on May 24th, 1969, this long-wheelbase 911T Karmann Coupe came finished in Bahama Yellow over a Black Leatherette interior.  It was additionally optioned with a 5-speed manual transmission, ventilated chrome wheels, Koni shock absorbers, stabilizer bars, a 911S instrument panel, and BHKZ Ignition System.  It was acquired by the second and current owner in 2005 when the engine was rebuilt at 75k miles.  Accompanied by the original stamped dealer maintenance book and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this final-year 2.0L 911T is now being offered by its owner out of Quebec.

The Karmann bodywork came factory finished in Bahama Yellow (6805), a historic and sought-after Porsche color offered on the original 911 from 1966 to 1969.  Optional equipment from the factory includes chrome bumperettes with rubber overriders, a righthand antenna, and ventilated chrome wheels measuring 5 ½”x15”.  New Yokohama tires were mounted within the last two years.  The car is said to have been completely resprayed under the care of its original owner and the seller has provided images of some imperfections throughout the exterior.  Some areas of rust are also present on the fenders and floor pans.

The cabin is trimmed in black leatherette upholstery with basketweave pattern inserts on the seats and dashboard.  Optional 911S instrumentation was equipped from the factory along with a corresponding fuel tank.  The original headliner is said to have been retained while a dashboard cover has been fitted along with a small repair patch on the driver seat.  The seller confirms all gauges are in proper working order.  The 5-digit odometer currently shows just under 60k miles and the seller reports the true milage to be approximately 160k miles.

The air-cooled 2.0L flat-six engine is equipped with dual carburetors and a factory upgraded BHKZ Ignition System.  An optional 5-speed manual transmission drives the rear wheels while optional Koni shock absorbers and stabilizer bars offer improved handling.  The engine is said to have been rebuilt in 2007 at 75k original miles during which time the camshafts were changed.  The original cams are said to accompany the sale and the seller reports the engine is due to be resealed.

This sale will include a toolkit, owner’s manuals, stamped service books, records, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

@PPG1961 the car had always been in Montreal and a short period in Toronto. I have been the owner for the past 16 years in Montreal. Will add photos to my gallery asap. I am not sure about the respray

  • PPG1961 (registered bidder) 2 yearsago

Can you confirm the location where this car was used for the initial 36 years?

Also, are you able to share photos of the trunk area front pan, under batteries, behind fenders. Any chance you know how many coats were used on the respray by original owner? Thanks.
