Produced from 1957 until 1975, the Fiat 500 is a staple in the vintage car world for its small stature and unmistakable design. In 1968, Fiat introduced the 500L or Lusso as the higher-end version featuring chrome bumper guards, additional storage space, and a premium trim package. Finished in Antique Ivory (234) over an ochre interior, this 1970 example remained with its original owner until 2022 and has since undergone a complete restoration which included new paint, upholstery, door panels, soft top, door and glass seals, brake pump, shock absorbers, spark plugs, battery, tires, and more. This 1970 Fiat 500L is now being offered by its seller out of Italy.
Repainted in its original Fiat color of Antique Ivory (Avorio Antico, 234), this 500L also features new side mirror lights, license plate lights, and a soft top. The seller reports that it was repainted due to fading and states that rust was not present prior to restoration. Equipment includes a retractable black soft top, tubular chrome bumper guards, bright chrome trim, bright window trim, a driver’s door mirror, and a vented engine cover. This 500L rides on 12” steel wheels that come wrapped in new Vee Rubber tires. A collection of detailed images including of the restoration process are provided in the gallery.
The interior was repainted in Antique Ivory and features new ochre-colored upholstered seats, door panels, and rubber mats. The black interior carpeting is said to remain original. Details include a black two-spoke steering wheel, a floor shifter, a center tunnel storage tray, a trapezoidal 130 km/h speedometer, front bucket seats, a rear bench seat, and manual windows. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional.
This 500L is equipped with a rear-mounted 499cc air-cooled inline-twin engine, which sends power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine is said to have been completely overhauled. Notable work also includes oil and filter changes, as well as new spark plugs, brake pump, brake hoses, carburetor kit, fuel pipes, stub axles, battery, shock absorbers, and a revised steering box. The seller confirms there are currently no outstanding maintenance items.

The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for visiting my auction. We bought this car last year. Its previous owner bought the car brand new. The car went under a completely professional restoration where it was disassembled and repainted in its original color Antique Ivory 234. There was no rust at all before restoration, but the color had faded. Inside, we did brand new upholstery, panels, and rubber mats. We also added a new soft top, new side mirror, new license plate light, new window seals, and much more. All maintenance Is up to date. The car is also stock with a brand-new set of tires and rims installed this month. This vehicle comes with an original booklet from 1970 and 2 sets of keys.”

Hello everybody less than 24 hours left to try to bring home this lovely , One owner, completely restored Fiat 500 . A solid and well preserved example, very few left in this conditions. From picture n. 203 to 209 Is possibile to see conditions of undercarriage before restoration solid and rust free. No body parts have been replaced. You can also take a look at pictures of the car at the Moment we bought It , storaged in a garage for a Long time , from picture 276 to 280 that shows excellent storaged conditions with no rust at all. Engine has been completely revised and serviced. Runs and sounds great.
