Available for auction is this 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 finished in White over a red vinyl interior. As the 1960’s pony car wars developed, the Mustang’s GT trim level was discontinued in favor of the new Mach 1 model. The Mach 1 was only offered in the "SportsRoof" fastback body style and could be ordered with several powertrain configurations. This 1970 example comes equipped with the 351 Windsor V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Having undergone a complete restoration under previous ownership, this Mach 1 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

The Mach 1 uses a SportsRoof fastback body and gains a hood scoop and pins, a chrome pop-open gas cap, rear decklid and front chin spoilers, “Sport Slat” rear window louvers, and Mach 1 decals. This example is finished in what is said to be its original shade of White and was repainted during its restoration under previous ownership. It rides on a set of 15” Chrome Magnum 500 wheels dressed in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Additional images can be found in the gallery.

The Deluxe cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in red vinyl with Comfort Weave inserts. The door panels are wrapped in matching red vinyl, while the carpets and dashboard are a contrasting black color. Details include wood grain veneers, roll-up windows, a center console with cup holders, and a three-spoke wood rimmed steering wheel. The seller confirms that all gauges and accessories remain functional.

Power comes from a 16-valve 351ci Windsor V8 and is delivered to the rear wheels by way of a C6 3-speed automatic transmission. Mach 1s were equipped with an upgraded suspension from the factory including higher rate springs, larger front and rear stabilizer bars, and heavy-duty shocks. The seller states that there are no outstanding service items at this time.

This sale will include a clean title.

Isn't the rear spoiler on backwards? And the rear Mach 1 strip across the decklid is crooked as a dog's hind leg. Other than that, nice car. GLWA.
