Reportedly lauded by Enzo Ferrari as "the most beautiful car ever made," the E-Type (XK-E), originally based on the D-Type race cars, features unitary construction, disc brakes, independent rear suspension, and a potent inline six-cylinder engine. This example, featuring triple SU carburetors, a 4-speed manual transmission, and a limited-slip differential, underwent refurbishment in the early 2000s before the current owner's acquisition in 2005. Refinished in light blue metallic over dark blue leather, this Roadster is now offered for auction out of Canada on behalf of the seller.
The Series 2 E-Type brought about several changes, including wraparound chrome bumpers, larger front indicators, removal of the glass headlight covers, repositioned taillights, and a larger front grille. This example is said to have been factory-specified in British Racing Green and has since been refinished in its current light blue metallic paint in the early 2000s. Equipment includes a replacement dark blue soft top and chrome 15” knock-off wire wheels with Continental Touring Contact tires from 2021. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with dark blue leather-upholstered bucket seats with a matching center console, door panels, and carpets. Accessories include a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, a suite of Smith’s analog instrumentation, roll-up windows, an AM/FM radio, a locking glove box, and lap belts. The seller notes a new speedometer was installed during the restoration.
This XK-E is powered by a 4.2-liter DOHC inline six-cylinder engine with triple SU carburetors, sending power to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Standard features include an independent coil-spring rear suspension, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, and a synchromesh gearbox. The seller notes that the parking brake cable has been removed and there is an oil leak, believed to originate from the front timing chain cover.
This Jaguar is offered with a valid registration.

Great video.
Morara. No signs of any accident damage anywhere on the car.
@morara. If you wanted the best tires - the reproduction Michelin XWX or Pirelli P5 or Dunlop SP Sport, they are about $2,000 a set landed in Canada. There are lots more cheaper alternatives.
@patsco. This is a private sale and there is no GST. Whatever provincial tax would be applicable depending on what province you want to register it in.
DID YOU PRICE OUT THE COST OF THE NEW TIRES IT NEEDS AND ALL THE REPAIR WORK?

@lromanosky Hello, for a Canadian buyer are they federal and provincial taxes to add?!
Bid in the amount of $32,500
The CARFAX report does not pick up vehicles without 17 digit VINs.
The vehicle was purchased in an estate sale and no records of the restoration came with it unfortunately. It has only been driven a few thousand miles since, and apart from a few oil changes there has been no servicing. We looked it over and found a leak from the front of the engine and the hand brake which needs to be installed.
I’d probably change all the fluids, even though they all look good, as I am uncertain what all has been changed when.
See the matching numbers in the video. Thanks.
Are the numbers matching and do you have a Heritage Certificate? Would appreciate your responses. Thank you.
Do you have a car fax report or the car history including restoration and service records?

Love the color!

I tried to make the presentation and listing as detailed as possible. There can't be many narrated videos over 1.5 hours on any on line auction platform! That being said, apart from a travel day on Aug 10th, I will be monitoring the auction and will be as responsive as possible for any questions.
Questions always come up about US importation which is straight forward with a car over 25 years old. The only incremental costs relative to buying an out-of-state US car for a US buyer are 2.85% Duty and a brokerage fee. www.tfxinternational.com gives on line transport quotes, and offers door to door service including all customs and brokerage.
