Succeeding the 911L 2.0 "Lux" model in Porsche's model range, the 911E 2.2 carries premium equipment and a Bosch mechanical fuel-injection system borrowed from the 911S. Presented in its factory combination of Signal Orange over Black leatherette, this previously California-owned 1970 example was brought to the Netherlands in 2016 in a partially-restored state. The seller acquired the car in 2019 from a classic Porsche specialist and subsequently completed the restoration in Geneva, Switzerland. Showcasing work by the specialists at Maffi Mechanics and Garage Téloché throughout 2020 and 2022, this 911E is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Switzerland accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The 911E shares its lightweight aluminum engine lid with the 911S sport model as well as it's aluminum rocker moldings, anodized gold badging, and rubber bumper pads. This 911E is said to have been completely stripped down and refinished in its factory-specified Signal Orange paint color. Equipment includes a driver's side mirror, chrome headlight bezels, and 15″ Fuchs wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps and Pirelli P6000 tires. The body is said to have been restored by the specialists at Garage Téloché and the expert hands of Jonathan Fuentetaja, and the seller states the underbody is free of corrosion and protected by a layer of rust inhibitor. The cabin is trimmed in Black leatherette with reupholstered door panels and new carpets. Details include a "911E" designation on the dashboard and the factory Comfort Equipment group which adds velour carpeting along with a leather-covered steering wheel, aluminum door sills, and 911S-type gauges. The seller notes interior items were restored by Garage Téloché and confirms all accessories and instrumentation are working properly.
Power comes from a mechanically fuel-injected 2.2-liter 911/01 flat-six engine that originally produced up to 155 HP and 141 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. Standard performance features include ventilated brake discs and aluminum calipers. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows the original engine stamping #620841. The seller adds that the experts at Maffi Mechanics revised the engine and installed a reconditioned and correct 911E-type Bosch MFI system, while Garage Téloché overhauled the gearbox and engine. A major service is also said to have been performed in November 2022 and the car will be supplied with another fresh service from Porsche Classic Gstaad prior to delivery for its next owner.
This sale will include a clean title and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

@r3drov3r the radio was an option on the 911E in 1970, this model is not fitted with a radio.
@r3drov3r this car is not a Lux its a 911E (E for Einspritzung or Injection) .

Question for Seller @porschegstaad Is it standard that the E, being the Lux version for this year, doesn't have a radio? Did it have a radio before it was restored?

@andyrog Yes We can store the car free of charge until your arrival. We could also then lend a set of temporary number plates for usage prior to shipment to the US.
