Regarded as one of the most formidable off-road vehicles ever made, the 40-Series Land Cruiser debuted in 1960 as a direct competitor to the American Jeep and British Land Rover. This 1968 example is finished in red over a reupholstered beige interior and features a 4-speed manual transmission, Dobinsons suspension kit, aftermarket Pro Comp wheels, and a new soft top. This FJ40 is now being offred for auction by its seller out of Florida.

This FJ40 comes refinished in red with a beige soft top and is equipped with a winch kit capable of handling up to 12k pounds. It rides on a set of aftermarket Pro Comp wheels dressed in a new set of Kenda Klever A/T (33x12.50R15) tires. The seller notes the truck had undergone restoration approximately 2 years ago, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The interior showcases reupholstered beige seats and features an aftermarket radio head unit. The floors are safeguarded by matching beige lining, while the dashboard, painted to match the body color, hosts a range of instruments and includes a locking glove box. The seller mentions the speedometer is not working properly, but other gauges and electronics are functional.

The truck is powered by a 4.2-liter single-carbureted F inline-six engine, transmitting power to either the rear wheels or all four wheels via a 4-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. An aftermarket Dobinsons 4x4 suspension kit has been installed, and the seller notes a recent oil and filter service has been completed.

This sale will include a spare tire, a Safari snorkel, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Fresh Dealer trade-in!”

Beyond the speedometer, are there any issues with any other aspects of the truck's operation? Including but not limited to lights, brakes, locks, battery, and leaks, etc...
