Introduced in 1968, the Fiat 500L, or Lusso, was a luxury-appointed version of the standard Fiat 500, equipped with new exterior brightwork and a redesigned interior. This 500L is said to have been purchased new in Milan, Italy, and was relocated to Sicily in 1987 where it remained until the seller’s acquisition in 2022. It was repainted under prior ownership and has recently received a full service including a new battery, tires, carburetor cleaning, ignition system maintenance, and more. This classic Fiat 500 is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Italy.

The exterior was factory finished in Coral Red (102) and is said to have been repainted under original ownership due to sun fading. Equipment includes a retractable black soft top, polished chrome bumpers with tubular guards, bright chrome trim, a driver’s door mirror, updated Fiat badging, and a vented engine cover. Detailed images showing the condition of the vehicle are provided in the gallery. The 12” steel wheels wear model-specific polished hubcaps and new Vee Rubber V313 tires.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with matching door panels and black carpeting. Amenities include roll-up windows, red rubber floor mats, map storage pockets on the door panels, a storage compartment in between the seats, a floor shifter, a two-spoke Fiat branded steering wheel, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo mounted below the dashboard.

The Fiat 500L is powered by a rear-mounted 499cc inline-twin engine, which sends up to 21 HP to the rear wheels via a 4-speed manual transaxle. Recent service included carburetor cleaning, replacing the silent block bushings, a new battery, a new fuel pump, new contact points in the ignition, new brake shoes and lines, an oil and filter change, and new tires.

This sale will include a clean title and some service documents.

Thx for your answer, but you did not answer my question:
    Here it comes once again:

I am coming from Germany to pick up this beautiful FIAT directly in Agrigento. Is the car still insured in Italy? Do me the favor that I can drive to the German border with the Italian insurance.

@TheGerman Hello Sir, many thanks for your interest.
The engine and trasmission are still as they came out of the Fiat factory, therefore as the previous owner told me never had any engine or trasmission issues just maintainance during the years. I want to remind you that this car had only 2 owners and they know perfecly the true history of the vehicle. Is believable that the 82494 km are original. Take a look at the compression test we are posting. Always available for any more questions you might have. Thanks!!

What about the engine and transmission?
Have they been rebuilt or anything like that?
