This 1971 Porsche 911T Coupe was acquired by the seller with the intention of completing a high-end restoration. The bodywork has been refinished, an engine rebuild has been commenced, and the black leatherette interior remains highly original and largely intact. Accompanied by a proper 2.2L motor, 5-speed manual gearbox, and a collection of new parts to proceed with the restoration, this 911T project car is now being offered by its seller out of California.
The exterior had been previously refinished in the current red color and is complete with aluminum rocker trim, bumpers, rubbing strips, headlamps, taillights, chrome moldings, door handles, a driver-side mirror, and all windows. Additional exterior trim pieces and fittings will accompany the sale and the car rides on a set of aftermarket 15” Fuchs-style wheels dressed in new Michelin tires.
The black leatherette interior is described to have been kept highly original and nearly complete apart from the lower door pockets. The functionality of the gauges and electrical features have not been confirmed.
A period-correct 911/07 flat-six engine is included along with a type 911/01 5-speed manual gearbox. The owner began to rebuild the engine and completed the lower end, although new pistons are still required in addition to other miscellaneous parts to complete the rebuild. Restoration of the brakes and suspension were also started as could be seen in the provided images.
This sale will include a clean California title along with an engine, transmission, and assortment of parts.

@Mooncock , I would replace valves, yes it was running, I remember that compression was not 100%. Crank and everything looks perfect. Need 6 new pistons, have 6 new barrels. Now is the time to upgrade maybe to s configuration
Hi Kenneth - is the engine complete and do you know if it was running before being dissembled? Bottom end casings and crankshaft ok? All valves present? I think possibly it is, the numbers match the year. I ordered a coa from porsche, but returned as they no longer provide a coa but another type now not showing numbers anymore but only displacement they told me. I have no way of knowing as Porsche does not provide anyone numbers. I would of liked to know myself, do you have a way to find out? Help if possible. Kenny
