Finished in Mexico Blue, this 1971 Porsche 914 is the subject of a custom high-performance build by Patrick Motorsports under previous ownership at a cost of over $150k. It features a retrofitted 3.2-liter flat-six Carrera engine, a 5-speed Type 915 manual transaxle, four-wheel Brembo disc brakes, a dual sport exhaust system, a painted roll cage, Konig bucket seats, racing harnesses, air conditioning, and 16” Design 90 wheels. After the build was completed, the car was sold to its next owner, who kept it for 10 years before the seller’s recent acquisition. This street-legal 3.2-powered 914 is now being offered for auction out of Florida.

This 914 has been refinished in the iconic 1970s Porsche color of Mexico Blue (336). It has been modified with flared rear fenders, shaved headlamps, a 944 Turbo-style front bumper with integrated headlights, a lightweight hood, a lower front splitter, 993 aero mirrors, a removable body-colored hardtop, dual polished exhaust tips, and silver 16” Design 90 wheels dressed in BF Goodrich tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin has been redone with black upholstery, a custom body-colored roll cage, leather Konig bucket seats, racing harnesses, lightweight door panels, and a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel. Other accessories include a painted instrument panel, 911-sourced gauges, a heater, and an under-dash air conditioning system.

Power comes from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine sourced from a 911 Carrera. The rear wheels are driven through a replacement 5-speed Type 915 manual transaxle. The car features 914-6 exhaust headers, a dual stainless-steel sport exhaust system, four-wheel Brembo disc brakes, a front sway bar, and Turbo tie rods. The seller notes the car recently underwent an oil change, an inspection, and received a new Optima battery in preparation for sale.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This is a truly special car custom-built by Patrick Motorsports in AZ, known for some of the best-built Porsche products. When I contacted the service team at Patrick, they stated that this build cost was in excess of $150,000 and today would easily exceed $200,000 it is a serious car that can easily be taken to the track and yet is so unique that you can just as easily take it for a weekend drive to cars and coffee. One thing is sure that you will not see another one like it in the parking lot. Good luck to all, I am excited to see some spirited bidding.”

Love a lot about this, but thats a lot of bare (unpadded, not unpainted) metal rear near your head with no headrests either...

Good luck with the sale, looks like a lot of fun

@ Langeoriginals I am not sure if the photographer closed the hood properly, either way I will have it addressed for the new owner.

@ Patrick3000 I would imagine that it weighs around 2100-2300 lbs. but never had it weighed.

    Hope this helps.

Sorta better look at the front turn signal lamp. Nice. What's the deal with the fitment of the front gap on the hood? Good luck with the sale.
