The Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV entered the market for the 1972 model year as a successor to the 1750 GTV, featuring displacement and horsepower improvements to the SPICA-injected twin-cam 4-cylinder engine. Benefitting from a frame-on restoration and engine rebuild carried out in Europe under previous ownership, this 1972 GTV is now being offered for auction with less than 100 miles driven since.
Designed by Girogetto Giugiaro for Bertone, the classic bodywork of the 2000 GTV is distinguishable by chrome, horizontal bars with raised blocks outlining the heart-shaped grille. This example has been refinished in Giallo Ocra and the 15” Turbina-style wheels are dressed in Continental ContiEcoContact 3 tires
Inside, the driver is greeted by Alfa-Romeo embossed sill plates and auxiliary Jaeger instrumentation. Interior appointments include black leather front and rear seats with matching door panels, black carpeting, and wood trim along the dashboard, center console, and steering wheel rim. The seller notes some minor imperfections in the wood trim, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
This GTV is powered by a 1,962cc twin-cam four-cylinder engine with SPICA fuel injection, generating up to 130 HP and 134 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. This GTV is said to have received upgraded springs and shocks, new suspension bushings, and 4-piston Wilwood front brakes. The engine is also said to have undergone a full mechanical overhaul under the previous ownership.

Can you provide additional pictures of the dash top, which is an area very prone to cracking? The current pictures appear to show cracks near the vents, but difficult to fully discern.
I own a 1983 BMW e21 with a dual Webber carburetor set up. I actually pulled the k-Jet Manual fuel injection that came stock as it offered less than desirable performance. Ofcourse a different car, but the Dual carb set up throttle response/sound. Nothing beats it’s on these late 70’s early 80’s cars GLWA

I stand by my earlier comment; this is not an injected car. It appears to be a nice example and European versions were carbureted. Could we see a better driving video and compression test?

A Spica injection air cleaner is an oval, gray canister. The black round air cleaner seen here sits on an aluminum plenum attached to carbs. @WORLD Which photo shows any of the injection? The closest photo is of the air filter and what appears to be a carburetor choke cable. This car appears to be of European spec with the side marker dot lights, etc. The European cars did not have the injection at this time. Also the deck lid would have the script “INZIONE” if injected 2 liter car. This car does not show the script unless it was deleted during the repaint.
@DLC- it is a bit hard to tell from the photos. Airbox looks like it might be for a SPICA, but hard to tell from the angle. If US market, it should've started off SPICA, though many were converted back to carbs because the SPICA had a reputation for being fickle. My US market '72 (Prugna) has weber 40s.
