Available for auction is this 1972 Jeep CJ-5 finished in metallic green over a black vinyl interior. Featuring new paint, a Rhino-lined interior with new vinyl seating, and a rebuilt 304ci V8 engine, this Jeep completed a full restoration just over 1k miles ago and is now being offered for auction by its owner out of California
The body was refinished in its current shade of metallic green under prior ownership and features black diamond plating on the rear quarter and rocker panels, sidestep bars, a full roll cage, trailer hitch, bumper-mounted fog lights, and side-exit exhaust pipes. A new Smittybilt bikini top has been fitted along with a set of black 15” wheels dressed in 31”x10.5” Triangle All-Terrain tires from 2002. Only a few minor stone chips are noted on the front end as well as a small chip on the driver’s side, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is equipped with front and rear seats trimmed in black vinyl. Rhino lining was applied to the floors during the restoration and a new dome light was fitted along with color-matched grab handles, an ignition cut-off switch mounted under the dashboard, a column-mounted tachometer, and a fold-down front windshield.
Power comes from an AMC 304ci V8 equipped with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. The rear or all four wheels are driven by way of a 3-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The seller reports the engine and transmission were both rebuilt during the restoration and within the last two months received a new fuel pump, filter, Optima RedTop off-road battery, air filter, and glass-pack mufflers. There has been no offroad use since the restoration.
This sale will include a car cover and a clean title.
