Currently under the care of its third owner in Canada, this classic 1974 LeSabre is being offered for auction with approximately 97k miles showing on the odometer.
This Buick comes finished in Burgundy with a white convertible soft top. A revised instrument panel was introduced for 1974, and this Luxus also features power windows, power-adjustable front seats, courtesy lights, and a power-operated roof. The seller notes that all gauges and accessories function properly aside from the clock.
Power comes from a 455ci “Rocket” V8 engine which was factory rated at 245HP and 360 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by way of a three-speed THM400 automatic transmission. This LeSabre also comes equipped with power steering and brakes giving it a more contemporary driving experience. @marunerbc Thanks. Moving commercially requires the kind of documents I needed when I purchased my Lotus Europa- cost around $1800. Let's see when the auction ends where we are with the purchase price. Timing is not particularly important to me, so we might be OK to wait until the August date.
@dicksanderson It can be moved commercially but, I can not drive it across myself.
@marunerbc Thanks. Does this mean the car can't be moved until then?
@dicksanderson US just announced today the the land boarder will continue to be closed to Canadians till August 21 at least.
@marunerbc I am in contact with a shipper (which is aligned with PCarMarket. If we get this done, we would coordinate the pick-up at a location in Blaine that you would identify, and transfer the car. Let's see how this goes over the next day. Regards.
Bid in the amount of $8,500
@dicksanderson I'm 100% certain it can be licensed in the US, Americans are coming buying collector cars from BC every day.
@PCARMARKET Ok, your listing requires clicking at the bottom of the e-mail listings from PCarmarket...to see ALL the listings. No problem. I will review and determine our interest. I need to check with the freight-forwarder that handled my recent purchase from Vancouver. In order to register that car I needed an EPA certificate and a 'registration' (not your title). I am not sure bringing the car across the boarder is sufficient to get it licensed here. Thanks again.
@dicksanderson This car is most certainly LIVE and advertised in our daily email notifications. Thank you
@marunerbc . Thanks for your note. Question: the car is not shown on the PCarMarket daily lists. Have you pulled it off the auction? Let me know. Thanks. Dick
@dicksanderson To be 100% honest, I have not done anything to the car in the last 5 years other than oil change, it is driven 1,500-2,000 KM in the summer on an average year.
Last time was in 2016 when I did new breaks, transmission and transfer case oil changes, put in a new muffler (full all the way), and had the shop look at everything else. I then replaced the battery in 2019 and that is it however, she does NOT need any work, it drives very smoothly.
I can drive it across the boarder to Blaine Washington and sign the registration over and it's up to you from there on. Please let me know if this works.
Great car. Seriously interested. Questions: what mechanical work does it need, if any. More importantly, would you agree to a landed-US purchase price. I just bought a car in Vancouver, and it was difficult to get it through customers, EPA certification and registration. I will appreciate any comments regarding this last point. Thank you.
@mtmA2 No A/C
@mtmA2 No

@Willy123 Please come see it to appreciate her, it in one of a kind in her condition.
@marunerbc I am in Vancouver. How much you are expecting for the car ?
@Willy123 Had it for 7 years, since 2015, she was inspected by CIBC in order to get the Collector plates.
How long you had the car for ?
@Willy123 Yes
This is BC car ?
Drives like a charm, very smooth and quite, NO rust anywhere.
