Up for auction is this 1973 Porsche 911T Coupe finished in Light Yellow over black leatherette.  Among the last Porsche 911’s produced in a desirable long hood body style, this 1973 example came factory equipped with Bosch CIS fuel injection as well as 911S trim, brakes, shocks, and stabilizer bars.  It had spent its entire life in California where it underwent a comprehensive full restoration in recent years at a cost of over $65k.  Acquired by the current owner on PCARMARKET about one year ago, this numbers-matching 911T has recently been treated to a full engine rebuild and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

During the restoration, this 911T underwent a full glass out respray in its factory specified color of Light Yellow.  The previous owner noted that all original body panels were retained apart from the small tray below the rear shelf. The exterior brightwork was also refurbished during this time along with the installation of a new front windshield.  The factory optional 911S trim (Comfort Equipment) includes wide rubbing strips on the bumpers and bright aluminum rocker panel moldings.  This example was also optioned with tinted glass and chrome fender deco strips.  The original forged alloy Fuchs wheels have been refinished and dressed in Nexen tires.  Approximately 2k miles have been driven since the completion of the restoration, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.

Inside, the cabin has been completely restored to factory specifications with new black leatherette upholstery, carpeting, headliner, and a new dashboard. The original door panels remain in place along with the factory 911S-type instrument gauges, aluminum sill covers, and leather-wrapped steering wheel included with the Comfort Equipment package.  A reproduction vintage Blaupunkt radio has been installed, although there is currently no dashboard speaker connected.

This 911T carries its original 2.4L fuel-injected flat-six engine rated at 140 HP.  It also came factory equipped with optional front and rear stabilizer bars, Koni shock absorbers, and aluminum 911S-type brakes.  The numbers-matching 5-speed manual gearbox was completely rebuilt along with the suspension by California Porsche Restorations. The engine was also rebuilt during the restoration, however, upon the current owner's purchase some oil leaks were discovered and the engine was subsequently treated to another full rebuild by Lynmor Motorsports including new perimeter studs and a line-bored case.  Images of the undercarriage are provided in the gallery.

This sale will include a matching full-size spare and a clean title.  A beautifully resorted and thoroughly sorted example of one of the last long hood Porsche 911s, this 911T Coupe is not to be overlooked.

@skimaker hello and thank you for the question. It’s not that the front speaker is not hooked up, it’s actually a case of during the restoration one was unable to be sourced (very hard to find) so the speaker is simply not present. Hope this helps.

Is there a reason the front speaker is on hooked up? Are there any speakers hooked up?
