Produced in the second half of the 1973 model year, this 911T Targa is among the final examples of Porsche’s classic long-hood 911. It carries a fuel-injected 2.4L engine and was factory-configured for the U.S. market including optional front and rear stabilizer bars, the Comfort Equipment package, tinted glass, left-mounted antenna, and pressure-cast alloy wheels. It was acquired by the prior owner about 20 years ago and underwent subsequent cosmetic restoration and customization including new White paint, a new black interior, RS-style fender flares, and an RS-style front valence. Treasured and diligently maintained by its longtime caretaker, this Targa is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Michigan.
This 911T was refinished in the current shade of White by its previous owner and fitted with an RS-style front valence and matching rear fender flares. Per the accompanying certificate of authenticity, the car came factory-finished in the rare color of Emerald (Kelly) Green (38), and traces of the original paint are visible in the trunk compartment. Details include a chrome driver’s side mirror, a removable black Targa top, black horn grilles, U.S. market rear bumperettes, black-painted rocker moldings, and 15” Fuchs alloy wheels. Some flaws are noted in the paintwork and the Raptor tires are estimated to be 6-8 years old. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin has been redone with new black upholstery and features an aftermarket Personal three-spoke steering wheel with a Porsche-crested horn button. An aftermarket stereo has also been installed and paired with upgraded speakers in the door panels. Some signs of wear and patina are present, and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
A correct-type replacement 2.4L flat-six engine was sourced from a 911 of the same production period, featuring Bosch CIS fuel injection and an output of up to 140 HP. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. This 911T came factory equipped with optional front and rear stabilizer bars for improved handling, and the seller states its previous owner addressed all services and maintenance as needed over the past two decades. Some oil seepage is noted, and a Porsche dealer is said to have administered a compression test yielding over 170 PSI and less than 10% leak down across all cylinders.
This sale will include a clean title and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

So much to like yet so many questions. Do the door windows roll up flush with the rubber? Why were the rocker painted black, rust? Was the maintenance over the past 2 decades recent or long ago? Good looking car.
