Now up for auction is this 1973 Porsche 911 Targa bb widebody finished in Black over a custom red leather interior. B+B Auto Exclusive or simply “BB” was founded in Frankfurt in 1974 by Rainer and Dieter Buchmann as a highly exclusive automotive customization firm that has become most recognized for its work with Porsche 911s. This 1973 example is said to have been brought to BB in Germany in 1978 to undergo a special widebody transformation with a custom suspension. Since then, this Targa has been imported to the U.S. where, in the last decade, it has undergone a custom 3.2 L engine upgrade along with the installation of a G50 5-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. Said to be in great running order with a documented history, this BB Targa is now being offered by its seller in Florida.
The Black finish on this Targa is shown to be in good overall condition with a few minor cosmetic imperfections as depicted in the photo gallery. During its time at BB, this 911 was outfitted with wide front and rear fenders and other body modifications include boxed rockers, a whale-tail style rear spoiler, a revised front bumper, and updated aero mirrors. The Targa bar was painted black and polished Fuchs wheels have been installed and mounted with Dunlop Sport 8000 tires.
Inside, the cabin has been upholstered with red leather and black carpeting. Other details include red instrument dials with silver gauge bezels, an aftermarket 3-spoke steering wheel, brushed dashboard trim, and an aftermarket radio. Approximately 3,600 miles are shown on the odometer and the true mileage remains unknown.
In the last decade, the previously installed 3.2 L engine is said to have been completely overhauled by Mike Brums of J.B. Racing with upgraded pistons, cams, and a custom exhaust with headers (no heater boxes). The G50 5-speed manual transmission is also said to have been rebuilt and paired with a racing clutch and limited-slip differential by Chilly Performance in Tampa, Florida. Other upgrades are said to include a BB suspension, a custom engine chip by Steve Wong, a GHL racing muffler, a carbon fiber fan shroud, and a custom throttle body. The previous owner reportedly invested over $50k in the drivetrain alone. Some records are available from the seller and this Targa is said to be in fantastic running order with approximately 5,700 miles reported to have been driven under the previous ownership of 11 years.
This sale will include some records and documentation, a set of keys, and a clean title. This incredibly unique 1973 BB widebody Targa offers an ideal choice for any passionate air-cooled enthusiast.

I've answered a couple people about the records and just now realized that it didn't post on the listing. The photo with the file folder shows the stack or records and receipts, including the original purchase invoice from the dealer here in the Tampa Bay area! It was also recently serviced by Eibell Performance in Clearwater.

Hi My name is Marlow, I own Track and Field Motors. If anyone has any questions about the car please let me know. It's a really cool car and gets a ton of attention.
@Sn997 The windows are set up as manual the buttons were likely for an earlier fitment with a 'power kit'
Does it have power windows or manual? Seems to have power window buttons as well as manual window handles.
