This 1973 Porsche 914 project car comes refinished in Adria Blue and features a fiberglass 914-6 body kit, a roll cage, rear Wilwood brakes, and a 5-lug wheel upgrade said to have been carried out by a specialized race shop in Connecticut. The basis for a race car or restoration for the next owner, this example is now being offered for auction at no reserve without an engine or drivetrain by its seller out of South Carolina.

The exterior of this 914 is reported to have been recently refinished in Adria Blue contrasted with black front and rear lids. It has been fitted with a 914-6 fiberglass body kit and rides on painted 5-lug wheels with older tires. The seller notes some imperfections including a ding on the passenger fender, scratches on the passenger door, and flawed paintwork on the passenger door. Additional body kit pieces are said to accompany the sale, including a rear spoiler, two dash cowls (one plexiglass and one painted), and a chin spoiler. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin has been stripped, and the original dashboard and gauges are said to remain in place. Equipment includes a leather-wrapped 4-spoke steering wheel and a black-finished rollbar. The seller states the gauges and electronics have not been tested, and a Porsche seat in fair condition will accompany the sale.

The seller states a specialized race shop located in Connecticut installed upgraded rear Wilwood brakes and a 5-lug wheel conversion in 2018. There is no engine or transmission included.

This 914 is accompanied by a bill of sale.

The seller would like you to know: "Added this 914 to my collection in 2018 from a race shop in Connecticut that did the roll cage, brake upgrades, and 5 lug wheel upgrades with rear Wilwood brakes. Recently had the car painted and the body panels fitted and it is now ready for the next owner to make it their own.  Additional pictured body kit pieces are included in the sale like the rear spoiler, two dash cowls (one is plexiglass and one painted), and the chin spoiler."

@jimcomer a few ways based on where you live. Apply for a title as if it was lost and it requires a registered letter and some DMV work. Or you can apply for a builder’s title which is very popular for race cars, hot rods, and home builds.

Anyway to get a title for car? Lost, Montana, ???!

  • astrother (seller) 10 monthsago

@jimcomer hood, deck-lid, fenders, chin spoiler, rear spoiler and one of the top cowls are all fiberglass. One of the cowls is tinted plexiglass.

  • jimcomer (registered bidder) 10 monthsago

Are the hood, decklid fiberglass? Anything else??

Thanks for looking at this little 914-6 clone race car project! Great platform to create the build in whichever way you would like! This car has been part of my larger collection and it is time to make some space in the garage for my 356 B so while it is sad to see it go... worry not, there is a great car taking its place.
