Sold in the United States for the 1974 model year only, the Datsun 260Z came equipped with a larger 2.6L inline-six engine, a redesigned interior, a stiffer chassis, and an available 2+2 seating configuration. This 1974 260Z has been recently refinished in a metallic grey along with the installation of 16” Enkei Compe wheels, new tires, carpeting, and floormats as well as tuning of the carburetors. This classic 260Z is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Florida.
The body has been recently refinished in a metallic grey color over the original green paint. Exterior details include chrome impact bumpers with rubber overriders, polished door mirrors, Z-branded quarter panel badges, tinted windows, and a single exhaust outlet. The 16” Enkei Compe wheels in Matte Gunmetal have been fitted with a set of new Ironman GR906 tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The 2+2 cabin features black upholstery on the seats and door panels with a matching dashboard and replacement black carpeting. Equipment includes roll-up windows, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, a Datsun-branded wood shift knob, a dash cover, heat and air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, an analog clock, auxiliary gauges above the center stack for fuel level and oil pressure, and Z-branded rubber floor mats. The seller notes a minor crack in the dashboard, and that the radio is currently inoperable.
The 260Z is equipped with a 2.6-liter inline-six featuring dual Hitachi HMB 46W carburetors and an output of up to 162 HP and 157 lb.-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven by a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller reports that a thorough inspection was carried out upon acquisition and any necessary maintenance was completed at that time including a retune of the carburetors.

No frame rot at all, this car is solid. Painting was done by the previous owner, still I have found no bond or mismatches on that work.
In regards to the brakes, they are hydraulic assured, the steering wheel is manual though.

Good morning. Any frame rot? The Z's are notorious for frame rot which can cause the frame to collapse. Also, what was the condition of the body before refinishing and how much bondo in the body? Does the car have manual steering and brakes?

I owned a 260Z back in the '80s and loved it. The 260 is by far the rarest of all Z cars, and this 2+2 makes it hens teeth. GLWS
