Now available for auction is this classic 1974 Porsche 911 Targa presented in Grand Prix White. This 911 features a carbureted flat-six engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.  Also showcasing some noteworthy refurbishments and tasteful modifications, this 1974 Carrera Targa is now being offered by its seller Utah in solid driver-grade condition.

This 911 is said to have been refinished in its factory specified color of Grand Prix White at some point during previous ownership.  A crack is present in the windshield, although the paint is reported to be in fair overall condition and the Targa top is noted to be in good shape (detailed images are provided in the photo gallery).  The headlights were replaced along with their chrome bezels and genuine Fuchs wheels were installed which have been refinished and dressed in Hankook tires.

The Black interior has been partially refurbished with all new carpeting, a reupholstered dashboard and new RS-style door panels.  Other details include a 356-style wood rimmed steering wheel and an aftermarket shift knob as well as a Rennline floorboard with a matching air blower cover in the trunk.  The new dashboard upholstery is peeling in some areas and the radio has been deleted with a coverup panel in its place.  Neither the A/C or heating systems are working, however, all other gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.

This Targa is equipped with a carbureted magnesium case flat-six engine (serial numbers are available for reference within the photo gallery).  The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission which provides for a pure and visceral driving experience.  On account of its unprecedented power, the seller believes that the engine had been previously upgraded, although there is no documentation to prove this.  The seller confirms the car to be in strong running order with just over 85k miles displayed on the 5-digit odometer.
