This 1974 TVR 2500M underwent significant refurbishment and modifications in 2018. The refurbishment included a repaint in purple, interior refreshments with black leather upholstery, and the installation of a replacement 4.0-liter Rover V8 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. It is equipped with 16″ 3SDM alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, aftermarket coilovers, a fabric sunroof, a wrap-around rear window, split chrome bumpers, bullet-style side mirrors, and a Kenwood CD stereo. This 2500M is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
During its restoration, this 2500M was mounted to a rotisserie before being refinished in "Porsche Royal Purple". Notable exterior features include a black stripe adorned with "4000" and Union Jack TVR graphics on the NACA-ducted clamshell hood, and a factory-installed fabric sunroof covered in black vinyl. Additionally, it is equipped with split chrome bumpers, tri-bar Lucas headlights, bullet-style side mirrors, fender vents, a wrap-around rear window, and twin exhaust tips. It rides on five-spoke 16″ 3SDM alloy wheels wrapped in Rotalla Radial F105 tires, with a non-matching spare stored in the engine bay. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The refreshed cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather, complemented by purple seat belts. A purple dashboard fascia sits beneath a black dash pad, while textured black upholstery accents the center console and door panels. It is equipped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a heater, a Kenwood CD player, along with a Stewart Warner speedometer and control switches located at the center of the dash. All gauges and electronics are reported to be working properly.
The replacement 4.0-liter Rover V8 underwent refurbishment before its installation in the vehicle and comes equipped with twin carburetors, an aluminum intake manifold, and valve covers branded with the TVR logo. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a replacement 4-speed manual transmission, that was reportedly fitted during the current ownership period. Aftermarket coilovers are fitted at each corner while stopping is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.

@palien Nothing is Missing. Seal ok. Misalignment is probably an illusion from the sun hitting Chrome. Everything fits like a Glove 🧤.

Original 6 cylinders 2.5L was discarded to fit more Muscles under the Bonnet. 8 cyl. 4.0L, Manuel.
Runs like a charm. Perfect Fit. Not Brutal. Just Perfect. Winner / Next Custodian will be VERY HAPPY.
Was a show car after total restoration. Needs to be Driven hard and put up Wet, like older brother.
