Presented in Light Yellow, this 1975 Porsche 911 Coupe was originally specified for the European/RoW market and was eventually imported to the United States where it remained titled under the same owner since 1989. The car had been sitting in storage for some time when it was acquired by the seller in 2022 and subsequently treated to a comprehensive restoration. Accompanied by a numbers matching Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this 911 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This 911 came factory-finished in Light Yellow (117) which was notably a popular choice on the legendary Carrera RS model. The car is said to have been completely stripped and refinished in its original color in 2022. It features slimmer European-spec bumperettes at the rear as well as a Turbo-style front air dam and Whale Tail rear spoiler. It rides on 16” Fuchs wheels dressed in TBB tires from 2020. The seller states that minimal imperfections are present including some discoloration on the black rear window molding.
The black leatherette interior has been refurbished and includes a factory-optional sunroof as well as gauges for oil level, temperature, and pressure. The radio has been removed and the seller reports some signs of wear to the carpets and inner moldings.
The air-cooled 2.7-liter flat-six engine is said to have been refreshed during the restoration with new fuel injectors and seals, a new fuel pump and fuel accumulator, and a refurbished fuel distributor. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with a new clutch kit. Other services during the restoration included new sway bar bushings, wheel bearings, brake pads and rotors, front control arm bushings, tie rods, and ball joints.
This sale will include a clean title and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.

Sorry I thought they stopped using the 4spd earlier. I see they used them until 1977.
@Hemibob Hello, this is a 1975 Porsche 911, not a Carrera (they are different cars). As 1975 911 the 4 speed transmission is the standard transmission on this car, not the 5 speed which was optional at the time (M481 option).
As the restoration shop, wouldn’t you address why a 75 Carrera has a 4speed transmission instead of the correct 915 5speed?

@MiamiGarageClassics Are you 100% sure its a 4 speed? Shift knobs can be easily changed, but to remove a 5-speed and install a 4-speed seems extremely backwards

this car is clearly very pretty but the absence of running / driving videos makes it hard to see it as more then just a beautiful object.

Beautiful 911. Looks to have 73 RS rear fender flares unless this is a Carrera or I haven’t had enough coffee yet.
@larrygk No rust at all, all the metal in that area (and all around the car) is completely solid.
There is just plain dirt on that box where blower goes on cars with AC
How extensive is the rust in 175 and 176? Love the color of this car. RUF like. GLWA.

@oceangreen59 Good morning, about the pictures, we try to provide as many details as possible, hence the amount of pictures.
The transmission hasn't been rebuilt, however, a new complete clutch kit was installed.
Nothing major was needed on the engine after a thorough inspection, the most important parts related to the engine are the fuel distributor completely rebuilt, original fuel pump also rebuilt, new injectors and seals and full tune up of the whole system.
