Representing one of a small number of U.S. Carrera’s built for the model year, this 1975 Porsche 911 comes finished in Silver Metallic over black upholstery. This example is said to have undergone a professional refinish in 2008 as well as a complete drivetrain rebuild in 2013, including the engine, transmission, axles, and brakes. Accompanied by a recent multi-point inspection carried out by Suncoast Porsche, this Carrera is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida while showing approximately 90k miles on the odometer.

This example is said to have been professionally refinished in its factory-specified color of Silver Metallic. Unique, black-finished Carrera script decorates the finish. Exterior details include fog lights, a distinctive “whale tail” spoiler, and black 15” Fuchs wheels dressed in Kumho tires from 2020. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin sports black partial leather upholstery with an optional power-operated sunroof. Equipment also includes a 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, power-operated windows, climate control, a Blaupunkt radio, and Carrera-branded floormats & door sills. The passenger-side door window motor and switch are said to have been replaced in June 2023 along with the AC knob. The seller adds that all gauges and accessories are working properly.

Power comes from a 2.7-liter flat-six engine generating as much as 165 HP to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller states the entire drivetrain was rebuilt in 2013, including the engine, transmission, axles, brakes, and engine accessories. Additionally, yearly maintenance and oil changes are said to have been carried out and a recent 20-point inspection completed at Suncoast Porsche is provided in the gallery.

This sale will include a clean title.

    @911charles My tech says the hydraulic tensioner mistakenly believe that oil feeding the tensioners will cure the known problem. He states that changing it into a manually adjusted version with a safety lock that prevents failure and lasts a lifetime. The price to do this and the pop off valve is Roughly $3,200.

    @KevinLeitch The rear deck lid is not warped it just looks that way in the one picture, if you looks at the picture of the rear of the car the gaps are all perfect.

    It's hard for me to tell from the images. Is the rear deck lid straight? It appears warped on the right side but wasn't sure if that was the image or actually warped lid.

    As a follow up question to that asked well below and since they were not changed, does anyone know the rough cost on a CIS model Airbox pop-off valve to be installed?
    Also the rough cost of upgrading the Cam chain tensioners to oil feed? -Thanks

    @KevinLeitch Hello Kevin and thank you for your questions. I know the owner personally and have stored this Porsche for him for the last few years that he has owned it. As far as I know there has been no body paint work done. I will have to check with the owner tomorrow and take a look at the front to see what you're referring to. As far as the car being factory spec I believe it is as close to original as when it was purchased. The radio has been upgraded but other than that everything is stock. I will also ask the owner for the paperwork from the restoration. I believe he has pictures that I can give you that were taken during me. Restoration. There are no existing problems with this vehicle. The window tint was done a few years ago when purchased by the owner. I will reach out when I get into the office tomorrow morning . Thank you and happy 4th of July!

    @bakocaddy Hello and thank you for your interest in the Carrera. There are 2,500 since the engine and transmission were rebuilt. The owner has the paperwork and i am trying to get it as we speak. The sunroof as with all other components of this car are working as they should.

    @Floridaclassiccars - Nice car!
    Usual questions for CIS models: Airbox pop-off valve installed?
    Cam chain tensioners upgraded to oil fed?
    Thanks!

    @jimbo991 Hello and Thank you for your interest. The Carrera was owned by the current owner for the last 3 years. It was owned before him for several years and was Painted in 2008 and was a frame off repaint. The quality of the paint is amazing .
