Up for auction is this 1975 Porsche 911 Targa finished in Yellow over a black interior. Beginning with a European-market 1975 example, this 911 has been transformed with 964 body styling, wide steel fender flares, and 993 Turbo-style wheels. The car is said to retain its original 2.7L flat-six engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. With extensive service carried out in preparation for sale, this highly unique 1975 Targa is being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida with approximately 109k kilometers (67k miles) showing on the odometer.
Under previous ownership, this Targa was fitted with wide steel fenders along with 964 style bumpers, mirrors, rocker panels, and a 930 Turbo-style rear spoiler. The car was refinished in the current shade of Yellow including the removable Targa top panel. The finish is said to present very nicely apart from a small dent on the driver’s side front fender, additional images are provided in the photo gallery. This 911 rides on a set of 17" 993 Turbo-style wheels with colored Porsche center crests and Toyo Proxes tires.
Inside, the cabin has been redone with custom fabric trim on the inner panels along with a leather shift knob and MOMO Prototipo steering wheel. The updated Porsche script pattern electric seats are fully functional and were sourced from a Porsche 944. The original European instrumentation has been retained and the seller confirms the radio and all gauges to be working properly.
This 911 Targa is said to carry its original European-spec 2.7L flat-six engine which was factory rated at 150 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual gearbox. An aftermarket exhaust system has been installed and a major service was carried out in preparation for sale including all new fluids and filters, new rear brakes, rear shocks, a new clutch, ignition components, and a Blackstone Laboratories oil analysis which is provided for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include a copy of the recent oil analysis and a clean title. With updated styling, custom finishes, and a visceral classic driving experience, this 911 Targa presents a unique opportunity for any air-cooled Porsche enthusiast.

What about the gearbox? 901 or 930 style? Thanks
Bid in the amount of $13,500
@Alanlee1 reserve cannot be disclosed, the whole point of the auction is for the bidders to make their best offers
@Mrosilio Records are available and the services were described in the auction: “… major service was carried out in preparation for sale including all new fluids and filters, new rear brakes, rear shocks, a new clutch, ignition components, and a Blackstone Laboratories oil analysis which is provided for reference in the gallery.”
I like to bid on the car but want to know the reserve amount Alan
Do you have records of the "extensive service carried out in preparation for the sale"?
Bid in the amount of $12,911
Do you know if it's the 901 or 930 4-speed gearbox?
Bid in the amount of $12,000
@jnduda They are steel fenders
Are the rear fenders steel or fiberglass? Haven't seen tires offset in the fender area before for welded extensions.

whoever buys this car for under 10 grand gets a deal. full resto, and it will be very nice (a 40,000 $ expense, of course. Probably much more...... to do it right)
Bid in the amount of $7,250
@2mAn I just uploaded the video, should be available at any moment
@Neverenough So true. Heck, I live in NYC area, am surrounded by them. I grew up with two 912's and a 911T in my father's garage. All purchased second hand and always respected and kept true to original.
@211Broadway I too have noticed that. The longer I live the greater the % of no tasters in the world
@Neverenough Just a completely destroyed original beauty. No shortage of people with no taste out there.
The Painted targa top is most probably a factory option hard top that was available for 70s cars before the brake booster was introduced which put an end to that targa top as it wouldn’t fit any longer because of the reduced space in the frunk. From factory they came flat black.
Beauty is only skin deep. But ugliness goes clear to the bone.

I see the cold start, but not a driving video
Bid in the amount of $5,750
@2mAn Please check the questions are answered and videos uploaded, sorry for the delay!!
@Icegreenmetalic No issues at all on the rear wheels, maybe the wide body kit is not symmetrically perfect, but the drives great and it's perfectly aligned
@avonwaldow Hi, no PPI was done yet
There is no rust on floor or suspension evidently visible
@2mAn Hi, please the car is a 75 (not 74), and some of them certainly came with 4 speed transmissions.
About the videos, pleas check they are already uploaded and available here
@Mrosilio I can't tell for sure what's the material, but it's clearly a hard shell and it's painted
I would say is glass fiber or similar
@MiamiGarage Can you answer the questions and please add a driving video!
Appears the rear wheels are not centered in wheel well. Is there an issue?
Greetings: Has a PPI inspection been done? Is there any rust/rot at the floorboards and/or front suspension? Thanks very much.
Bid in the amount of $5,250
Are those stickers on the sides (the horse and the 'outlaw' ) ... also how FAST is it? lol
I didnt realize they offered a 74 with a 4-speed, are you sure its not a dog-leg first? I thought by 74 it would've had a 915 transmission, but maybe someone but the 901 back in... Im no Porsche expert though so who knows if anything I just said is accurate.
Any chance to get a cold start and running/ driving video before the end of the auction?
@MiamiGarage It looks like a painted hard shell material.
Is this not the case?
@Mrosilio It feels like fiber
What is the outer shell of the top made out of?
Bid in the amount of $5,000
@Mrosilio Hello, we just uploaded the pictures, they should be available at any time
Hey - Could you upload some close up photos of the top?
Thanks
@Adoptagreatpet Hi, there is several options for an aftermarket kit to add AC to the car.
About the dent, it's barely noticeable, I can't even get it to notice on a picture, however it can be easily fixed by any dent repair specialist, I just wasn't able to make it on time for the auction.
I see that this beautiful redone Porsche doesn’t have A/C. Do you know if you can put a vintage system in. Why don’t you have the dent removed by having it pulled out? Any Porsche dealer or body shop can do it and it isn’t expensive. Thank you
I can see the potential here...lots of goodness in this custom creation! GLWTA!
