Built to customer specifications by Patrick Motorsports, this 1975 Porsche began life as a 911S Coupe and has been fitted with backdated RSR-style bodywork and equipped with a GT2-based 3.8L engine featuring twin-plug heads, twin turbochargers, and an output of 600 HP on very low boost. The car is finished in a one-off paint color and showcases a host of unique details as well as a custom interior with an integrated leather-wrapped roll bar and handwoven inserts. The project is said to have been completed over the course of several years at a cost of well over $500k. An uncompromising RSR-style backdate with exceptional attention to detail, this 911 was recently serviced and is now being offered for auction by its owner out of New York.

The car was stripped to bare metal by Patrick Motorsports and modified with a set of early RSR-style steel fender flares along with a backdated “long hood” nose section. The rain gutters are shaved from the roofline and 911R-style taillights have been installed along with aerodynamic 934/5 style mirrors, a ducktail rear spoiler, a center-fill hood, RSR-style Fuchs wheels, Cibie driving lights, and a fiberglass front valence with a special F1-inspired Jabroc wood spoiler. The paintwork was completed on a rotisserie and features a custom-designed shade of blue, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin is wrapped in smooth tan leather complemented by painted hardback sport seats featuring handwoven blue houndstooth inserts that extend to the dashboard, door panels, and rear shelf. A leather-wrapped four-spoke wheel is situated ahead of the driver and a set of early 356-style gauges are housed in a body-colored instrument panel. The integrated roll cage is wrapped in matching leather and provides additional structural rigidity. Other details include a 917-style wooden shift knob, wool carpets, matching tan seatbelts, power windows, and a restored ventilation control panel.

Power comes from a Porsche GT2 twin-plug engine bored to 3.8-liters and upgraded with Alpha P993 GT-28 TIAL high-flow twin turbochargers, a 996 GT3 crankshaft, Mahle RSR piston & cylinder set, 962-type throttle bodies, a solid rocker arm valve control conversion, and 993 GT2 EVO mechanical rocker camshaft set. The engine build is said to have cost nearly $60k in itself. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a type G50/021 6-speed manual gearbox with a shortened bell housing, billet side cover, and a limited-slip differential. The car rides on 935-style suspension with adjustable Bilstein coilovers and monoball front strut mounts. Stopping power is derived from large 917-style brakes with dual master cylinders. Other equipment includes a hydraulic pedal assembly, a racing-style fuel cell, and a front strut brace. The seller has a binder with full documentation of the build by Patrick Motorsports and has recently completed an extensive maintenance service.

This sale will include a clean title.

@DJATL The car was custom built by Patrick Motorsports for a customer / collector, so I haven't seen any articles. Patrick Motorsports does have a few items (although limited) on their website. I will look though. Also, it does not have AC.

  • DJATL (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

what a car! I love everything but the interior
it would be marvelous if you opened the door and saw a scratched up full cage and a couple of tattered race seats!

  • PorscheBran (seller) 1 year, 1 monthago

@burnrubr It's approximately 600 HP to the crank. According to Patrick Motorsports, to the wheels, it's 558 horsepower @5,700 RPM with 1 bar of boost on pump gas.

  • burnrubr (registered bidder) 1 year, 1 monthago

the name of the builder alone is worth the admission! the mentioned 600 hp is to the wheels? pump or race gas? thanks
