This beautifully executed outlaw-style 1975 Porsche 911 Carrera is presented in its factory-specified color of Cockney Brown over a custom leather interior. Commissioned by its longtime previous owner in 2012 as a joint effort between Kelly-Moss Road and Race and Rothsport Racing, this 911 was transformed into an unparalleled outlaw.  Showcasing custom exterior details and an array of performance modifications including an upgraded 3.6-liter Porsche 993 engine with a custom GT3 exhaust, this 911 outlaw offers a truly visceral driving experience. Previously sold on PCARMARKET and continually improved upon by its subsequent owner, this 911 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia.

After being completely disassembled and stripped down to bare metal, this 911’s body was fully inspected before being professionally refinished in its factory-specified color of Cockney Brown. The paint is noted to be in excellent condition with front-end paint protection film as well as a recent full paint correction, polishing, and ceramic coating treatment. New sunroof cables and wind deflectors have been installed along with H1 headlights and new OEM taillights.  Exterior modifications include custom front and rear bumpers, a front-mounted oil cooler, a custom ducktail rear decklid with “Carrera RS” badging, anodized black aluminum trim, and 3-piece BBS Motorsport E28 wheels with magnesium centers.  These wheels were also dressed in Pirelli P-Zero tires within the last few hundred miles. A very faint imperfection is noted on the lower rear decklid and is depicted in the video below.

The driver is situated with a custom leather interior featuring reupholstered 1975 Recaro racing seats, a new leather dashboard, leather RS-style door cards, and a new black headliner.  Custom Carrera carpeting has been fitted along with yellow seatbelts, OEM seatbelt receivers, an aluminum pedal set, a MOMO steering wheel, and custom instrument gauges with a 10,000 RPM tachometer. The seller adds that the passenger door handle strap was reattached during their ownership.

Replacing the original 2.7-liter power plant is an upgraded 3.6-liter Porsche 993 Varioram flat-six engine, specially selected for greater horsepower and torque.  After being completely reworked, this engine now produces approximately 315 HP which is sent to the rear wheels by way of a rebuilt magnesium-case 915 5-speed manual transmission. For maximum stopping power, this 911 sports Pagid competition brake pads, upgraded 2-piece aluminum floating hat front discs, cross-drilled rear rotors, and Porsche OEM big red brake calipers. Additional engine and transmission upgrades include:

  • Porsche GT Gears
  • Quaife Limited Slip Differential
  • Internal Gate Shifter
  • Shift Rod and Tower Bushings
  • Shift Coupler with Billet Collar
  • Custom Exhaust and Headers
  • OEM 997 GT3 Muffler with titanium tips
  • WEVO Engine Mounts
  • New Air Intake
  • New Oil Tank with Level and Temp Sensors
  • Oil Line Heat Shields
  • Custom Wiring Harness
  • Bosch Motorsports Fuel Pump
  • 85L RS Fuel Tank with Custom Skid Plate

Built for performance, this 911 also highlights a completely reworked suspension system including motion control suspension remote reservoirs with 18-click double adjustable struts and shocks, 19mm raised spindles with competition gussets, 22mm sway bars with billet upper shock tower support, upper mono ball shock mounts, and a TRG shock tower brace.  Additionally, Elephant Racing poly bronze suspension bearings and bushings were added all around with Elephant Racing advanced tech adjustable rear spring plates and their quick-change rear splined hub.  Porsche Turbo tire rods were also added, along with WEVO RARB console rear sway reinforcements, a TRG bump steer kit, and hollow torsion bars (24mm front, 31mm rear). The seller adds that a recent oil change was completed along with a compression test by an authorized Porsche dealer which yielded excellent results. The seller adds that the vehicle had 91k original miles at the time of the build, and 4k miles have been driven since. The seller describes this 911 to remain in excellent operating order, compression test results are listed below:

  • Cylinder 1: 192
  • Cylinder 2: 195
  • Cylinder 3: 192
  • Cylinder 4: 195
  • Cylinder 5: 200
  • Cylinder 6: 200

When the initial build was completed, the proud owner took the car to five different concours events.  At four regional events, the car took 1st place in the G-Body class with a score never lower than 178 out of 180 points.  More recently, this 911 won first in class at the 50th anniversary of Rennfest in Atlanta, GA with a score of 179.8 out of 180 points.

This sale will include a clean and clear title showing no mileage inconsistencies.

2300 lbs and 315 HP with super trick optimized suspension and brakes , You do the math. It was built to be a GT3 killer

  • Upshift4 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

This car has so much trick work on it that you cant see, its mind blowing! when I see these stupid backdates with crummy suspension and brakes, old engines, rusted or wrecked chassis, marginal paint, and no attention to detail go for $200+ its blow my mind!!

Basically this car was an EXTREMLY successful race car ( track and solo) that was taken back to street legal with only the best components possible, You cant see them but the carbon fiber Brakes ducts are incredible.

everything works and its f#%3king fast!

  • Upshift4 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@WReiter , just get out your AMEX card!! when only you work with top folks like Kelly Moss, Rothsport, Copans, Elephant racing . MCS and BBS the results are fantastic, This was a$250 ++ build ... without the car.

  • WReiter (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@sportscarguy3 The vehicle is not equipped with a radio. I am unsure if this vehicle came with a radio from the factory. A competent audio shop would be able to answer exact questions you have in regards to installing one. From my experience this would be a straightforward job. Install a head unit in the current dash slot, cut provisions in door panels, install speakers, and run wires.

Can’t stop looking at this build
Besides, DMV issues here in California, which I’m sure I would have to deal with one way or the other given the information I gathered from DMV and it’s just part of the package
Is this a radio delete Porsche. as it looks like in the videos?
Could speakers be installed relatively easily or would it be a very costly addition?
Well, the sounds of that 3.6 are intoxicating I dig music with my Porsche.
    Thank you

@caratlantaga I just went through this a month ago - transferred a 1971 914-6 into California - I had to show emission stickers in the engine bay BUT no smog test required. It is new on the vin verification form. Hope this helps.

  • Lottacars (registered bidder) 1 yearago

BTW i have yellow headlight lenses (with enhanced bulbs) on my '70 RGruppe. They would probably look very good on this car.

  • Upshift4 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

Definitely no cats! Beautiful custom built Rothsport stainless headers into a 997 Cup titanium exhaust

  • caratlantaga (seller) 1 yearago

@sportscarguy3 The information I found came from dmv.ca.gov. I also saw the same information on a separate website. I’ve copied and pasted from the .gov website. I think all potential buyers should perform their own due diligence as well.
Smog inspections are required when you register or renew registration for a vehicle in California, but there are some exceptions.

    Vehicle Registration Renewal
Your vehicle does not need a smog inspection if your:

Gasoline-powered vehicle is a 1975 year model or older (This includes motorcycles and trailers.)
Diesel-powered vehicle is a 1997 and older year model OR with a Gross Vehicle Weight of more than 14,000 pounds.
Powered by natural gas and weighs more than 14,000 pounds.
    An electric vehicle.
Gasoline-powered and less than eight model-years old.

  • sportscarguy3 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

@caratlantaga I have reached out t California DMV, both via telephone and in person locally here in Santa Rosa.
The cut off year is 1968
Any car later than that as well as any car " transferred from out of state " ( not a California car ) will require a smog test for emissions
This is the problem I am running into now that I am looking for a backdated / slightly or fully " outlaw " Porsche

  • caratlantaga (seller) 1 yearago

@sportscarguy3 Thanks for the great question. Luckily there are no catalytic converters. Pure sound comes straight from the engine and only channeled through the OEM fitted 997 GT3 rear muffler! I did look up California regulations and it shows a 1975 and older vehicle is exempt from smog checks. Please verify these findings as I’m not a professional source in terms of emissions testing per state.

  • sportscarguy3 (registered bidder) 1 yearago

What a very cool, Porsche, RSR outlaw build !
It probably won’t matter because i’m confident this will sell well beyond my budget, however, for us here, in Northern California, Sonoma County, any car coming from out of state will have to have California smog testing and approval
I don’t imagine there’s any cats on this exhaust or anywhere. This would pass California smog emissions testing
Please share any information you may have
    Good luck all

  • Lottacars (registered bidder) 1 yearago

    @caratlantaga thanks

  • caratlantaga (seller) 1 yearago

@Lottacars The car has been a joy to own. 10 months may not seem like much but after owning 100+ cars they get swapped often. In fact, 10 months is quite a long time.
The car received a 2 step paint correction and ceramic coating. It also received the much important inspection and clean bill of health by the local Porsche dealership. The passenger door pull strap rivet was replaced. It hasn’t needed much. It provided many fun drives to car shows etc.

  • Lottacars (registered bidder) 1 yearago

What did you add /do to the car since you bought it last June? And why are you selling it 10 months later? Thanks.

  • caratlantaga (seller) 1 yearago

@Guipdl We did not look into fitting the car with A/C. There are several kits and different methods to run it in the car. You can pick if you want an all electric system or one that runs off the drive belt.
