This US Carrera was delivered new to California in April of 1975. The Carrera eventually found a home in Connecticut where it was cared for and remained in very nice condition. The original motor and transmission remain with the car as delivered and the factory correct black paint presents beautifully. Despite showing just over 100,000 miles on the odometer, the car presents honestly with the appropriate amount of underside patina and no major signs of corrosion.
The interior has minimal wear and shows beautifully. Prior to the current dealer acquiring the car, a Connecticut dealer did work on the fuel injection system and mounted a new set of tires. Even though the car was in decent running condition, the new owner/dealer decided to bring the car to another level by addressing what they felt were possible future concerns. As a result the following work was recently performed.
Following the 1973 introduction of the Carrera RS, Porsche continued with Carrera production and development. While Rest of the world examples received the Mechanical Fuel Injection from the '73 model, the US Carrera received the K-Jetronic CIS (Continuous Fuel Injection) system of the 911S. The Carrera featured wider rear quarter panels just like famed 73 RS as well as an optional Carrera one piece deck lid spoiler, providing the most aggressive and sporty looking Porsche built within the mid-1970's.
