This 1976 Porsche 911S Coupe was originally designated for sale in California and came factory-finished in Ice Green Metallic over a Black leatherette interior. It was first acquired by the seller in early 2022 and underwent a host of service items as well as the installation of a modern Porsche Classic (PCCM) head unit before it was sold to one of their clients. The car was traded back in later in September 2022 at which point the seller performed additional refurbishments, repairs, and an application of ceramic coating. It features several tasteful modifications including updated Porsche 964 seats, a MOMO steering wheel, aftermarket headers and exhaust, and upgraded Hot Bits shocks. Accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this 911S is now being offered for auction out of Canada while showing approximately 124k miles on the odometer.
This 911S came factory-finished in Ice Green Metallic, a desirable classic Porsche color offered between 1974 and 1977. The car is said to have been completely stripped and repainted in its original color under prior ownership. Equipment includes chrome door handles and headlight rings, a polished tailpipe, pop-out rear quarter windows, an optional electric sunroof, and polished 15” Fuchs forged alloy wheels with colored Porsche crest center caps. The car rides on a set of Dunlop tires from 2016 which show approximately 7mm of tread depth remaining. The seller adds that the exterior of the car is very well presented and was treated with ceramic coating in 2022. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The Black leatherette interior was refurbished by the seller in 2022 with the installation of Porsche 964 seats, replacement door pockets, new trunk carpet, repair of the left rear seatbelt button, and repairs to the oil pressure and oil/fuel level gauges. Additional refurbishments in 2023 included the replacement of the driver’s door window handle and repaired connections for the windshield washer pump. The cabin has also been modified with a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel and a modern Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) head unit. The seller reports all gauges and accessories are working properly.
The fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six engine was rated at 165 HP and delivers power to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. The seller indicates aftermarket headers and exhaust have been installed along with upgraded Hot Bits shock absorbers. Service items addressed by the seller include an Ontario safety inspection, replacement of the battery, an oil and filter change, and front wheel balancing. The valve covers were previously replaced as well. The seller notes that the car is in strong running condition, although the motor has low oil pressure which may require replacement of the oil pump to address.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, some documentation, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean title.

@Cherche-pepite, The port it would leave out of is Montreal.
I can confirm that I have just checked myself that the clock is operating - the white hand is used to start the lap time in case that is why you may think its not working. And I just drove the car around the block with a GPS speedo and it appears to be showing MPH accurately.
A beautiful and classy 911. Paint looks tremendous! Low oil pressure concerns me as it could be a lot of things.
@Cherche-pepite By the way, looks like the clock is not working either and I agree with Clearzway below that the speedometer, while labeled in miles, appears to be clocking in kilometers. Can you verify on both these points, please? Thanks.
@reserve416 Out of which port would the car likely be shipped on its way to France? Can you help with transatlantic shipping? Thanks

Good luck to all!
I owned this car from 2019-2022. The car sat the shop for many years. I bought this from the porsche race shop (Response Engineering) and had them rebuild the original matching number motor with many replacement parts and upgrades. The heat exchangers were installed back on at the time. I have some pictures provided to me of the repaint, it is a complete windows out, strip and paint. The work was done well and held up well. It drives well, the exhaust sounds awesome. Good luck to everyone budding.
This car was purchased by a friend in NM in 2005 and driven home through a snowstorm. I believe he installed the uprated fan and Carrera chain tensioners. I bought it from him in 2007, had some work done to the CIS by a specialist (hunting idle), pretty sure I installed turbo valve covers, replaced some gaskets to stem the leaks, installed the Prototipo, coco mats and the *16-inch* Fuchs. I sold it to another friend in 2009 - he installed the Hot Bits (inserts into Koni struts obviously), and disassembled the car for paint. The prep & paint was done circa 2008/09 by an excellent resto shop - Bromley Automotive. The car was reassembled with a temporary replacement motor (with intentions to rebuild the matching motor) and OEM front mount oil cooler/lines. The motor and car were sold to a Porsche race shop maybe a year or two later.
Thanks @reserve416.

@Clearzway Here is a close up video of the car running yesterday. The tach does operate but does " bounce " a bit. All other gauges appear to be in working order.

We do not have the original exhaust system and shocks as this is how the car came to us originally. We do not have any photos of the car before or during paint work.

Pretty car.
"The seller reports all gauges and accessories are working properly." Is that accurate? Please comment on the operational state of the dash gauges. It seems the speedo runs high (shows MPH but seems more like Kph on that highway entry ramp compared to traffic), tach bounces, temp might be that low and can't see all others.
When were the "aftermarket headers and exhaust, and upgraded Hot Bits shocks" added to the car? Any pictures of the car before and during prior repaint?
Thanks in advance.

To answer these questions for anyone else wondering, yes we use a broker that can assist with facilitating getting this across the border. But it is ultimately your responsibility as the bidder to do your own research and to know what it will take to title it in your state.

@reserve416 I didn't think so, I just imported a US car from Europe last month and if it's not a US manufactured car you will have to pay the 2.5% and a couple of other smaller % charges and fees.
Love the color, GLWTA!
@Bored My apologies, after confirming with our broker, it seems that this car is in fact subject to 2.5% duties to re-enter the US.
TO ALL US BIDDERS, PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND.
