Beginning life as a Porsche 911S Targa, this 1976 example has been converted into a Cabriolet and modified with wide Turbo-style bodywork as well as a 3.2-liter flat-six engine borrowed from a 1989 Carrera. It comes finished in Black over a Linen interior and features 16" Fuchs forged alloy wheels, an auxiliary oil cooler, a Tea Tray rear spoiler, front fog lights, an electric height-adjustable driver's seat, and more. This custom 911 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
Originally a Targa, this 911S underwent a Cabriolet roof conversion along with the installation of wide Turbo-style fenders, bumpers, and a Tea Tray rear spoiler. It has been refinished in Black with a matching convertible top and boot cover. Equipment includes European-spec side marker lights, a fender-mounted antenna, a front chin spoiler, integrated front fog lights, quarter panel stone guards, and polished 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. The car rides on 205/55 Michelin Pilot XGT Z4 tires in front and 245/45 Toyo Proxes T1R in the rear. The seller adds that the car has been garage-kept and remains in good overall condition, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, this 911 features a Linen interior with matching carpeting and a black dashboard. Accessories include an electrically height-adjustable driver’s seat, power windows, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, silver gauge bezels, a heater, an aftermarket stereo, and black carpet Turbo-logo floor mats.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine that was sourced from a 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera and installed by TRE Motorsports of Nuys, California, along with an auxiliary oil cooler and emissions equipment. The rear wheels are driven by a 5-speed manual transaxle and stopping power is handled by two-piston calipers paired with ventilated discs at each corner. Some service records are said to be available and there are no outstanding maintenance items reported at this time.
This sale will include a clean title.

@WH911 the top has not been touched, and is in the same condition.
@AdenauerForst it is the same car, but not the same pictures, and the body is steel, not fiberglass. Not sure why that previous owner wrote that it was fiberglass.
why no leak or compression test shown

Have the issues with the top been fixed since the last auction?
@VintageCarCollector When the car was listed on another auction site (the one with the Trailer) on 10/28/23 the fenders were fiberglass. I presume this is the same car, same license plate, same pictures too?
