1976 Porsche 914 2.0 5-Speed

This final-year Porsche 914 comes finished in Summer Yellow and equipped a fuel-injected 2.0-liter engine paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. The car is said to have been restored by a previous owner in Oregon before changing hands with a PCA member in Kansas from whom it was acquired by the seller. Sporting period accessories including Riviera wheels and an Ansa-style exhaust, this 914 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of Missouri.

This example came factory-finished in Summer Yellow (L13K), a shade offered during the final two years of the 914 model run. It comes equipped with black rubber bumpers, a removable Targa top, black vinyl sail panels, aftermarket Hella driving lights, Ansa-style exhaust pipes, and 15” Riviera wheels with Spirit of America center caps and Yokohama tires. The car is said to have been completely dissembled and refinished in its original color under previous ownership and is described by the seller to be in excellent overall condition. The cabin has been refurbished with new carpeting and black leatherette upholstery for the seats. A set of custom Coco floor mats have been added along with an aftermarket radio and a leather shift knob. The seller reports all gauges and accessories to be operational, although the radio has not been connected.

Displacing 2.0-liters, the air-cooled and fuel injected flat-four engine sends power to the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. The car is accompanied by an invoice totaling over $9k for mechanical repairs and rebuilds of the engine, transmission, brakes, and fuel system in 2017. The seller notes routine maintenance has been observed ever since, and images of the undercarriage are provided in the gallery.

    As seen in most of the engine compartment photos, this little lady has fuel injection, as she should have. She cold starts, runs and drives as new. Check out the video.

    Weather permitting I will post a cold start & driving video tomorrow.
